Hello, great great video. What’s the dimensions, also what material are you using to create the steam. And could you add any Eucalyptus oils to the system to give the aroma in the room?
Mmmm creo que nesecitas insolacion entre los muros de otra forma con el tiempo habra moho y talvez humedad detras en medio de ambos la insolacion Previene eso
Will my residential steam pipe melt the Kerdi fix seal, or the foam Kerdi board, or the Kerdi membrane? Where the copper steam pipe comes through the shower wall to spray steam it is very hot of course. At what point will the foam melt?
Hi Bennie - great question! One of the primary ingredients in thinset is portland cement. Once the thinset fully dries it hardens and will not re-emulsify. In fact premium thinsets can be used to install pool tile or tile for water-fountains - applications where the tile is permenantly submerged under water.
+Bennie W It depends on the type of thin set, unsanded thin set mortar is mostly portland cement which is the primary ingredient in marble dust that provides the water proofing, it does not absorb water
Not really waved, but there is both an access ramp and the shower tray is sloped 4 ways toward the central drain, which makes a very ugly combination. Better a flat Italian shower with no access ramp.
one of the best presentation I have seen in long time. Now would like to know more about steam technology.
I have a Mr. Steam unit. Works well. I think they are located in New York.
Very detailed. Love this video
Schlueter is by far the best system out there! End of story!
No
Very expensive. Other choices available now.
@@tryan7what do you recommend?
Back your screws off a bit so you wont have dips after you water proof seal and tile it. Save yah some grooves on your wall.
Nice demo
Whats the name of these boards again? I forgot already..
hurdy board
Awesome video

Beats the days of sheet rock and 40 buckets of mortar
Hello, wouldn't you want to put down some of the red membrane stuff for waterproofing??? Just kerdi board?
Mmmm creo que nesecitas insolacion entre los muros de otra forma con el tiempo habra moho y talvez humedad detras en medio de ambos la insolacion Previene eso
Perfection!!
LOL

Id like to know
I would use cement board for that area. No longer a problem. Waterproof the area.
Doesn't thinset soak up moisture?

Could the kerdi-band be eliminated on the bench by using the urethane sealant to connect the substrates, instead of mortar?
It would last a little but eventually seep, water seal everything, everything!
Till your drunk friends slip and fall through that foam wall. LOL WTH?
Yep
Oh my gosh this installation has so many things wrong with it
I will stick with Moroccan Hammam or shower!!!
That floor is not sloped, it’s waved... how can you advertise a product with a how to and have waves in the ground? Lol smh

Geeze was this recorded on a potato!?
Potatoes can't record video, you doofus!
