i was tempted to make this the og ds battle theme instead of the nintendo ds stage for laughs but i decided against it 😂

I always thought the original song for twilight house sounded really out of place, its a pretty good song on its own but this music just fits so much better with the atmosphere of the battle track itself. amazing work as always!

I know that if an official remake was made, they'll use what was used on the origin console, unless the stage has thematical overlap like 3DS Wuhu Town, and GCN Luigi's Mansion, and for originals, Sweet Sweet Kingdom and Dragon Palace, where they instead remixed it with the original track song to make fitting to be a battle track.
In this case, I like to hear this stage to be a ghostly remix of the he Nintendo DS battle track theme.

you're probably right about that, but for most battle themes we want to see how it would be like if (most of) the stages were akin to Mario Kart Wii's and Mario Kart 8's nitro battle courses where they have unique compositions. its mostly a creative decision but it's understandable if you're not into it :)
