Beautiful car!! I wish we got those here in the US, but my regular MK7 GTI has been great so far. I really love the wheels. Does anyone know what brand/model they are? Canât wait to slowly upgrade mine. I think a dogbone upgrade is a must here soon.
Thanks you very much , wheels are imported from Germany - Motec Ultralight 9.2kg each
Can a large brake kit such as the one featured fit with 17-inch wheels, or are 18-inch wheels required?
@@exothermal.sprocket Hey man! I think it depends on the wheels. I know Apex states big brake clearance for their 17â wheels, but my 17â RPF1âs barely fit PP brakes. They fit just fine over my standard brakes but weâre really tight over the previous owners PP calipers.
@@dylanellis6264 Sounds like it's a matter of staying off the limit with 17's. Personally I really don't like the ride quality in 18's as it's kind of unforgiving, harsh, noisy. It's more of a style exercise with 18's or greater in my opinion.
What a great job. What is 410 wheel horse power at the crank.

Yes it was a stock akrapovic system with decat and gpf delete but was very tiny and noise - Bow have gone for Milltek resonated with backbox sounds amazing and no tiny sounding cheap sound

Nice video ! I am Tcr owner as well and I am thinking about chiptuing my TCR, but bro which times do you have from 0-100km and 100-200km by stage 1 and which times do you habe by stage 2 and 3 as well ? That will be for me very helpful to make a decision. Thanks again.
Just get it tuned properly that what I would recommend big difference on road never times things
Great vid! I can't wait till I can afford something like this lol. Mk5 is so quirky đ but I'm wondering, why are you using an insert rather than void free mounts and upgraded pendulum? Would seem better đ€
And any plans on doing a true lsd?
Thank you , I hope you get one soon Iâve had golfâs since the mk2 ,This has been from a tuning box to stage 3 - so an insert is the easiest fastest option and it seems to be doing the job instead of throwing out ÂŁ500 worth or engine and gearbox mounts , and either the true LSD - Iâm not sure I know enough about it myself but as of factory spec the TCR has a LSD fitted
@@London-united-kingdom well depending on the mounts (and if 034 still makes any) the void free I got from 034 were only like $70. And I wish I had lsd in mine! Spins wheels like it's on ice, no matter what tires I use lol

How can it be safe to numb knock sensors? Even if the ecubox isnt part of the natural ecu? Knock is still knock isnt it? Wont numbing the sensors allow more knock to occur unchecked?
It's my guess that the factory knock sensor tolerance is set very low, in other words, the sensors send knock information back to the ECU, and the ECU is set to respond to that information at a threshold. That threshold is probably extremely conservative for reasons VW has stipulated, and probably set to very low limits leaving a decent amount of adjustment between OEM setting and the point where engine failure could occur.
Wicked to see this. Out of interest, what would something like this cost for a 7.5 GTI, non PP? Already got a list of mods would just need turbo fuel pump and down pipe (and mapping)
Give them an email or phone call explain what you already got on your car and what you need theyâll give you a price mate
So Iâm new to all this, but very interested in learning more about these cars! What is a tuning box you were referring to and what is a knock sensor?
Iâm assuming itâs a premade tune or a piggyback system, and the knock sensor detects detonation of the engine if the thing is misfiring or knocking from detonation the sensor pulls things back and usually goes into limp in mode.

Are tuning boxes really that bad? What about a gearbox tune?
Itâs had gearbox tune also - where he talks about clamping pressure , but I let motorsport and performance answer your question as they would be better at explaining both your questions mate
Yes they're terrible for the engine, they only trick the fuel injectors and some other things
@@atefm6 There's no trickery. It's simply a supplemental electronic device designed to manipulate the stock ECU into running a non-stock output. It's changing sensory feedback to alter stock parameters. "Tricking" is a lame piece of terminology people have used for lack of more technical explanations.
The best way is to actually change stock parameters. If no one in the aftermarket has the computerized know-how to reprogram OEM computer systems to run altered parameters, the only option is to run supplemental tuning boxes, which basically piggyback onto stock computers.
with your stage 3 how much lambda does it run?
very nice video, and very nice car... however, I don't really see the sense of putting 400+ whp on a fwd...imo take a Golf R, put a little less tuning (to stay around the same cost), and the car would be anyway much more usable and enjoyable, isn't it? - anyway I very much enjoyed watching the video, very well done!

How to you sell and recoup your money đ° back after modify a car like this??
Not hating at all... I'm just curious...
One does not recoup modification money. Not on cars. Not on motorcycles. Not on much of anything. It's money spent for the reason of enjoyment. Use at your own risk.
You might remove those aftermarket parts and attempt to sell them on market as used pieces, and get your factory ECU programmed back to stock parameters. You'll have to keep all the factory hardware (intake, exhaust, turbo, intercooler, filter, factory brakes, and anything else you've added) and attempt to resell on the market as "used condition" parts. Trying to prove they are in good condition will be a tough sell, as people who buy these go-fast parts are usually doing so under the pretense that they are going to exploit that performance and power. The market doesn't really want to buy already-used performance parts.
If you want to sell the car with the go-fast parts installed, consider that the buyer is someone looking for an already-modified car, which is very small fraction of the market looking for these cars. That buyer is going to want to know everything about the modifications and know it has been done by someone professional (all the installation receipts and reputations of installers comes into that picture, as well as the mileage before and after installation).
@@exothermal.sprocket thanks for the reply bro...
Because I'm thinking about a sports car vs a superbike...
Those bikes are best bang for the buck...
And you just sell it as is
@@quintonnkoane9885 If you've not ridden a motorcycle before, or very little, you'll have to consider the substantial cost of getting into the riding scene. You can do it cheaply, but only if you've a ton of restraint and understand yourself well. I never recommend people get into motorcycles for the purpose of exploiting horsepower, not without taking a couple of necessary steps before getting there. Start on a small displacement machine, build skill quickly. Sell/trade for a middle displacement machine, build additional skill. Sell/trade for what you thought you wanted in the first place, but by this time you'll have gear, skill, muscle memory, and hopefully a lack of road rash and accident claims or worse.

No your wrong about tuning boxes your only saying theyre bad because it justifies your business , by baffling people about knock and timing etc you are actually wrong because a good tuning box runs in conjunction with the own cars factory ecu where it still allows all the safety systems to function to protect the engine from damage via the factory ecu monitoring systems , so if the car has any knock problems the factory ecu management will intervein and adjust the knock sensor accordingly aswell as any other safety issues like timing , or overboost etc , the factory ecu programming is still fully intact unlike when you do a tune and you practically wipe the ecu of all its factory peramiters and safety managemnt that has been carefully installed by germans who dont want any warranty issues , and rewrite the ecu with your own programming which elliminates the safety monitoring and puts the engine at risk of missing these safety measures . The only thing a tuning box does is manipulates the boost signal requesting more all within the paramiters of the original factory ecu software and adjusts the timing and fuel accordingly whilst the factory ecu manages knock etc , or else mangement lights and fault codes would be be an issue and the car wouldnt drive . We have ran golf GTIs displaying live data and there are no issues with this at all , they are an awesome easy risk free safe as hell factory ecu warranty retaining peice of software which easily gets the same gains as a stage 1 tune all running safely with the factory ecu safety systems .
