@@GBGuns hey thanks . I enjoyed your CMMG Mk47 Video . I am a 7.62 x 39 lover as well . I have the Older version back when they called it the Mutant . Looks like this Newer Model is somewhat softer . Butt mine might not be as front heavy . How do you feel they compared ?

The reason it didn't go over was the stand walking around absorbed a bunch of the energy. Good shooting! And very nice pistol!

The wall in the background, when comparing the two, makes a great reference to see the pistols movement or lack of. I don't know if you planned it, but if not a recommendation to continue to use it.
That was not intentional, but a good thing to know in the future. It was a total accidental combination of camera angle and location, where I was standing, distance to the wall, etc but we can try to reproduce it in the future.
It is a very interesting platform. The Grand Power is getting my attention more and more. Great video, GB! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

@@v.german11bsame in NC & everywhere else . Watching them being made & the ppl on here who know them like them so much. + GOtdanance prices are not bad & on sale a few times a year. I think you would be more than happy with one if you order sight unseen. I’d be ordering one now but other things to pay for.holidays,taxes in January trucks in shop ect ect. Still might have to order one. Tempting. Like the 12s.
Awesome video, the recoil was greatly reduced it definitely looked that way .
I like the low concrete wall behind you that gives a visual reference point for comparing muzzle flips.

That barrier is actually pretty tall, but the angle the camera had on the gun, plus distance to the barrier worked out perfectly. I don't think I could do that again on purpose if I tried.
Great video as always and man, I felt that what's for dinner circle number 9, i was hoping you would stack those shots but you definitely made up on the accuracy square.

I love the new slide cuts but it was the full length dust cover tac rail that really makes me wanna upgrade my mk12.

I find it strange that people mention Grand Power's Stribog PCC all the time but of the plethora of various gun based youtube channels I follow you are the only one who ever mentions their pistols. I wonder why seemingly everyone else ignores them even though they are at the very minimum interesting.
It bugs me too. I was a GP pistol fan back in 2016 and so was the first to make a Stribig video whe. They hut the US. Popularity rose with those, but these incredible pistols that only require learning a new take down and how to manage an awesome trigger seem to get ignored.
Waiting for the embargo on Walther PDP 5 inch match steel frame to end. Would assume they sent you one to review. They posted a teaser on their IG. I screen recorded to slow it down and pause so I could see what it was.
Graham do you have a prefered replacement for the recoil springs? Some of mine are getting soft and letting the slide lock back.
I have not worn any of mine out, even on my old K100, but if yours are going soft for some reason I'd suggest asking Global Ordnance about parts.
Really leaning towards this for my new 3 gun pistol. It's really lacking a mag well, and I don't see much after market support for it.
Do you need a magwell?
Do you know if they will be making an RMR plate?
I would like to see comparison between x-calibur mk23 and classic K100 mk23....if there is noticeable difference (6 shoot test)

I miss the Mk 12's Fluted bull barrel and it was melanited also ,and what I have seen for what ever reason the original supposedly stainless barrels seemed to rust slightly, which I found odd as if it was not a pure stainless barrel without the proper metallurgy it seemed hence why the switched to a melanite coating , Which I find odd that they switched back to the bare stainless ,unless they fixed the issues of the bare stainless rusting slightly over time.. I think they should have kept the fluted bull barrel, It just seems they switched to cut down manufacturing cost, but why on their premier line gun?
Was the recoil spring the same rate/age? I think that is important question in case of Mk12 vs Mk23

What type of optic mounting system and which red dots will it accept. Own the P1 Ultra. Always wished I could mount an optic.

I'm sorry but the only mk23 in my firearms collection will remain the original one made by H&K, also because I spent $2k on the original Insight IR LAM. This is a nice toy though, stay safe!
As explained in the article last month, "Mk23" is a generational designation as it was released in 2023. The previous models were Mk12s, but there was no need to clarify that then as few people had anything earlier in the US. This time around I've reviewed a couple dozen Mk12s and so I say "Mk23" to clarify.

I made a Mk23 X-Cal vs Mk23 X-Cal match comparisons, but didn't compare the Mk23 Match to the Mk12 because there's a generational difference.
Would be nice to see slow-mo side by side of Mk12 vs Mk23 to see how the impulse differs, as you've done for past comparisons.

We stopped talking trigger pull weight years ago after experiencing awesome 8lns triggers and lousy 3lbs triggers. The feel is far more important than weight and that's why it's covered in every tabletop video.

You failed to mention the price difference vs mk12. Is it worth it? Also the auto forward will induce a fail to feed with some hollow point ammo. That along with throwing off some shooters is likely why the opted out of it. Smith did the same thing with earlier m&p pistols.

Oh sorry I only follow your CZcams channel. Do you think it's worth the price increase? Especially for a fellow non optic shooter? The fail to feed occurs only with some jhp ammo and a full magazine. Happen with my xtrim and xCalibur. Never with fmj though.
Welcome to the channel. We've got about 80 Grand Power videos stetching back 8 years and including two trips to the factory. The price difference "worthiness" is up to you, your budget, and your preferences. If you want to mount a dot there's no choice, if you're fine with irons then the Mk12s will do fine.

I miss J&G! They had great prices, even when I still didn't have enough money. If you've been shooting GPs that long (Mk6?) then you may appreciate the texture upgrade on the Mk23s if you're looking to maximize performance.

I don't know how a comp would work though with the rotating barrel
@@GBGuns If they make it like with the Sig Sauer P365 series than it would be no problem. Thecomp there is just a part of the slide not attached to the barrel.
Which handgun, of these 3, would you say has the less recoil, the mk23, czp10c or Springfield echelon?
Any Grand Power with the rotating barrel beats any Browning tilting action hands down
wrong. You can comp and port a browning action, you can't on a rotating barrel. Browning will always win@@GBGuns

1911 is a browning action, CZ Shadow 2 is a browning action. You can continue to fanboy these guns if you want. They will never take off in the states because their reliability is subpar and whatever minuscule recoil reduction you get is negated by the aftermarket of Browning action guns. Cope@@GBGuns

You went to their factory twice. Did you ask why they don't sell ANY of their guns with 10 round mags ? They ignore 25% of the USA in sales. The sell and make 10 round mags , what would be so hard to include SKUs with 10 round mags. ? You would think the company would love to increase their sales another 25% by this simple change.
What's in the US is not up to them, it's up to Global Ordnance. The US market is a small part of what Grand Power does.
I wish I too had a company that could just reject 25% of a market in sales. You could be their sales hero and ask " How would you guys like a chance to increase your sales by 25% in the USA. ? When I went to the new Sig shop in New Hampshire, I asked them the same question, and their responce was the same, they were so big, they did not care .@@GBGuns
Time to retire the mk12. Mk 23 looks great i can see why you are a fanboy.
The Mk12 will always be special to me, and still beats most anything else, but yes, the Mk23 is an upgrade
