I just got my DC970 with a charger for $3. Very good condition, but no batteries and the original batteries were nickel cadmium (NiCd). However, there are aftermarket batteries available on Amazon. I got a set of two nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries for the drill for about $30. $33 for a DeWalt. Not bad.
Your 100 percent correct I’ve had it for years paid a 100 euros for it . Great drill . The batteries are still excellent . I got a hard case with it . The charger did go on me ,just recently found out it probably only needed a fuse replaced on the internal board . I bought a second hand one very cheaply on eBay uk. All in all I agree 10/10 .
