Not really all white history they teach world history and even in my school we learned about many other colored people who invented and created items that we use today and what research dose it say Thomas Edison didn’t invent the light bulb I thought blacks in that time period weren’t allowed to work or go to school with whites bibliographic movies can be false dude so your using movies instead of actual research you must really disagree with whites do you any way I am curious to see what movie you got it from. Oh yeah am a Mexican who dose t think about race so try and call me an angry white man.

      Oh the race card.
Thomas Edision patented the light bulb.
His company invented things. How many items were invented by white men.
And Edision gets the credit. Not the employee the employer. That is how the world works.
      Edision was all about patents.
These ladies were not given credit due to being black. They were not given credit because they were not on Television at the time.
Oh and it was the 60s and they were women.

There's only a handful of mathematician's you learn about in all of history. I learned we went to space, the russians got there first and Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon.

@@beenieweenie1986 It not about what you learn in school but ur interest in the topic. I grew learning up learning about engineering, science, computers, history etc. I took rocketry classes in middle school. I learned Newtons laws, how chinease fireworks was made and how fireworks luanched. Same way as rockets. That concept help us create the rocket essentially. We used that basic knowledge to help us learn and evolve. Anouther thing is gun powder. How they ignite Also we cant forget how u.s, and other countries was trying to recruiting german scientist to help them make a rocket. Reason being is that Germany was trying to build a rocket during War world two. So German scientist had a basic understanding or ideas to make it work. Which its quite fascinating in my opinion. What i think is evan cooler is that the concept of the rocket. Took hundreds of years of understanding of math, engineering, science, astromers, material science, and so many more to create it. Heres some scientist that i can name. That made thier own impact in thier own field. Is Nickola Tesila. Ac Alternate current, Tomas Edison Dc Durect current. , Eistien relativity theory, Mileva Mari'c helped einstien in the begining and went to school as a scientist, Pierre and Marie Curie Studding radioactivity, Newton newtons laws or three laws of motion

As grammar school children in Catholic school…we were afforded every opportunity to be part of every launch & recovery. This continued into Gemini & Apollo, JFK’s speech, Glen’s orbit, his parade and medal ceremony. But not one single word about these women.
This part of the program…this part of history…THESE WOMEN…should’ve have been taught to us, brought front & center and honored no less than Shepard’s or Glen’s contributions. Makes me wonder…had they been recognized dutifully what impact it would’ve had on the nation, the entire NASA program and the Civil Rights Movement.

This was an all to common story until the 70's. A LOT of critical work before, during, and after the second world war was done by women that were not given any credit. Everywhere you look you can find examples: code breaking, chemistry, mathematics, physics, system-design, you name it. Add to that just the basic job of making the bureaucracy work: clerks, secretaries, and messengers. Armies need logistics, logistics need bureaucracies.

When black men and women respected and cherished each other. Today the way people talk, you never sure weather they are insulting each other or it's foreplay.

This event will never be widely taught as history simply because of the savage way these women were treated.

It's really a shame that historical figures such as the women in this movie are not talked about at all in school history books. It takes movies such as this one for people to know the truth about whom gave so much for this country just to end up as nothing - not even a footnote in the history books. If more students - especially minority, female students - where to know about the triumphs of women such as these women, life would be far more interesting. How many minority, female women would be protesting at BLM protests today if they were taught about women such as the ones portrayed in this movie while in elementary school when they were still little girls? Everyone needs a hero to look up to in order to reach for the stars.
