    Here in canada I made a huge risk and planted a dozen or so pomegranate seeds, rn four sprouted and in two tears or so, if they survive, I can start training them to become a bonsai, I'm still going to get some older trees and work with those too! I am a complete beginner but I've been watching videos and reading articles, doing the same could help you too! Remember that pruning is important and reporting every year or two is as well, or your trees will get root bound. Bonsai soil or a mix of your own is helpful too, I look forward to seeing how they turn out, good luck!!!

    Excellent video mate. I actually picked one of these up as a result of watching your videos and its a great little tree to add to the collection.
    Look forward to seeing the repotting. One of my favourite jobs :)
    I don't keep fish anymore, but I enjoy the variation in videos. Keep up the top work and stay safe :)

      😂 that's a shame but hey at least you have cats! Enjoy them and keep your trees safe somewhere they can't reach them 👍

    One more thing, how often do u water it during winter times, recently got my first dwarf jade bonsai

    • @alasdairaquatics
      @alasdairaquatics  Před 2 lety

      Roughly once every two weeks, it depends how often I have the central heating on for as this dries out the air and soil faster. Jade tree usually start to wrinkle on their leaves when they need a water. Hope that helps, good luck! 👍

    Hi! I got a new jade bonsai, and I think I may have over watered it. I noticed some brown bumps on the leaves, and that some are splitting. I just wanted to hear your opinion on the matter!

      Hi there, they are great for bonsai! I haven't experienced your issue before... I've had brown spots occasionally on my leaves which I thought was down to too much sun exposure 🤔. The main thing for me is I let them dry out completely before watering again, I only water once every week or two at the moment due to it being cold in the UK. This species usually let you know when to water it as the leaves go wrinkly. Good luck 👍
