RIP Shifty Shellshock!!! I have made other CRAZY TOWN based videos, that may not have been in the best of spirits. Although it was raw and real at the time, for now i want to shed light on what i consider GOOD tracks and traits that CRAZY TOWN definitely possessed. SO LETS GET TO IT!!!!

Man, I was all about The Gift Of Game in 2000. A friend of mine downloaded Toxic off of Kazaa Lite (jesus, lines like that make me feel so god damn old ;D) and I was hooked. It was exactly what I wanted. I was a big rap-guy, but also dug a lot of nu metal like Bizkit and Korn, so Crazy Town fused those heavy, distorted guitars, ominous sounds and rap-verses prefectly. Darkhorse was also dope, Drowning was my jam, definitely.
"Shaky-Legs Shellshock" and "the guitarist had a nu metal-moment, had to spike up his hair" got me cracking :D That line up at Snow Job wasn't exactly the original, since OG guitarist Rust Epique had already left the band at that point.
I can also say I was always rooting for Shifty. He seemed like such a good dude and a great story teller after he got clean again for Brimstone Sluggers-era and Crazy Town X-stuff. Didn't know the guy, but it really felt bad to learn of his death, such a damn shame. But yeah, all you said was exactly as it was, Crazy Town had a very unique thing going for them. Too bad they got too much too fast after Butterfly took over and there was no one who knew how to handle success like that. A lot of bad decisions and chaotic lifestyles ended a good thing too soon.
Shifty really was a great lyricist. I liked his solo album alot when I was younger. His voice was very unique. R.I.P

With Crazy Town, Epic and Shifty were hip hop heads first and rockers second, and it definitely shows on their records and live show. Lot of nu metal bands are rock/metal first and the vocalist's rapping is usually kinda shoehorned in. RIP Shifty. Hope you and DJ AM are living it up in heaven. Also Snow Job is easily their best gig 🔥

I got a Crazy Town demo tape outside of a Rage Against the Machine show(Street team promotion, a byone era...). It had this song "Only When I'm Drunk" that was dumb as hell but also pretty catchy.
Also Shifty was doing a little joint project with Sid Wilson from Slipnot and his friend Rebel called DEADXHEDZ during the Nu Metal Revival tour a couple years back before Crazy Town got kicked and it sounded pretty cool cant find any official EPs or albums from them but if anyone does find it please put a link down or something

I think it's an absolute shame that d loc will never release the songs they did so many people would love to hear them but can't hate on a personal choice regardless I know a lot of us would love to hear it but also gotta respect the personal eishes
