For an SUV that is $71,000, I would have to agree that General Motors should have used soft touch materials on the dashboard and door panels. Second the gauges/speedometer should have been digital or updated to something different. Third the middle seats in the second and third row should havd had head restraints, so she made a good point on that. Fourth the seats could be more comfortable. Finally, one thing that General Motors should have done in their SUVS was put a grab handle on the drivers side pillar. Reason being is because if a shorter person was to drive this vehicle, they would need assistance getting in and out.

I recently got a used 2021 LT Texas edition Tahoe. So many safety features, panoramic sunroof, bucket seats, it also has buttons in the back to lower down the third row seats. You don’t have to do it manually. Drives smooth and high. My kids are 6 & 10 and they have more than enough room. So I currently drive a 2021 Tahoe and LOVE IT. I have a full sun roof along with power folding seats in the second AND third rows. I have 4 small children. 2 rear facing, 2 forward facing. I have the rear facing twins side by side in the second row which leaves not only an available seat but allows easy access to the third row to get in and out the 2 kids in the back. I also always have my evenflo pivot double stroller which fits in the trunk. Overall I have no complaints and all the “plastic” doesn’t bother me a bit.
I test drove a transverse first and although the trunk space was nice there was not even room to get all the car seats and kids in comfortably

I agree!!! I test drove the Tahoe, Suburban and then the Expedition and I’m loving Ford. Way more for your money and so much more practical. Like you want me to manually push down my seats while holding a toddler. No thanks!!!

I was surprised to see a car this expensive be so disappointing. The second row seemed to be the best part of the car. That bench seat was a dream.

Great Review not all good nor all bad really like your candor. You hit on so many key points most notably the astronomical pricing and what you get our don't for the money. I own a 2018 GMC and my interior is virtually the same. Way to go GM

Kelly said……”I have a water, husband has a water, my Iced coffee, yesterday’s Ice coffee”…..Classic…….
Fold and tumble seat is good for my dog….. I am cheating on some items though….
Using the tumble to get dog in but I plan on leaving the 2nd row Captains Chairs for second row permanently folded unless with rear seat passengers. Scout can lay on the floor with some sort of shade and stretching out. He has a torso harness and seat belt tethers. Probably my first choice would be the Z71 but the Premier was essentially in stock…..Ran numbers Wednesday, (8/18) scheduled delivery from Arlington Saturday (8/21). Arrived at dealer 8/19) picked up 8/20. Midnight Blue wasn’t really my first color choice either but again….in stock. Dealer advised minimum six-ten weeks for factory orders and could drag out longer. Didn’t want to risk trade in value drop, or worse….incident with one or both of trades during the delivery transition…….
A little Too much Chrome for my taste but oh well. A Z71 Grille and body color mirror caps could tone it down.
One demerit and noted on other reviews…..The Liftgate glass lifts separately but nothing to grab…..you have to touch the hot…North TX summer……Very hot glass to lift. Yes Taos entire liftgate as one assembly….normally yes….problem with a lot of North TX homes is the excessive slope of driveways….raising the entire lift gate is pretty much asking for items to fall out of the load floor….smaller items especially.
Yes on the high visibility and great view. Copy Parking on back nine at the Target parking lot……..until Black Friday and Christmas at least.
Do yourself a favor. Set the lift gate to 3/4 open especially if you have a lower height garage, or lower clearance public parking garages. You can manually raise to full open but protect your paint from scuffs and scratches. Mine is tight at 3/4 but works. I tested mine by placing a microfiber cloth on the spoiler and draping over . Made sure that at 3/4 the garage door hinges would not contact the paint.

HEY CAR MOM, You asked what that little cubby storage compartment to the left of the nav screen is used for? Here's your answer. It's used to hold your sunglasses and thats why its also felt lined not hard plastic. If you look above your head where the most common place to store the your sunglasses between the reading /map overhead lights and sunroof controls, You'll notice that the sunglass holder is gone. Chevy repositioned the location of the sunglass holder.

You should do a tour of the 2021 Yukon AT4. That’s what I drive & I LOVE IT! It’s more “luxurious” than the Z71 Tahoe (HUD, automatic running boards, panoramic sunroof, sliding center console, rear TVs, buttons in “trunk” to fold seats) SUPER NICE!!

You're right. I've always loved the looks of the Tahoe but I'm definitely not paying $70k+ for it, ever! It's really not that much more space than my 2014 Pilot.

Drove a 2023 from Florida to Texas and it was an absolute rattle trap. Felt extremely cheap compared to the Armada we rented and our new 23 4Runner. It drove well, but not going to pay $1400 a month for a plastic box.

Can you do the Chevy Suburban? At first I was so set on the Hyundai Palisade, but my husband is thinking we should get a full size suv for the bigger trunk space. So I feel like I'm down to either the Yukon or suburban.
