Gregg's does a cracking version, but there's nowt like using your own favourite sausages, cheeses, and beans. Can't wait to give it a go - proper comfort food, that. Just wanted to pop on and tell you that I’m only here because I was watching Adam Garrett live and he mentioned you!! My mom is absolutely thrilled I found you because she is from Belfast and would like me to learn a few of her favourite dishes. We’re both widows and live together. My children are grown up and on their own.
We both had very demanding husbands.
This is the first time in our lives that we can do whatever we want.
My mom has cooked for all of us all her life.

Well done Keef! As you say, probably not cost effective but at least you know what's inside. By the way, I recall even Saint Delia said life was too short to make puff pastry from scratch.

Nice one Keef, This will definitely be on the menu this week as I've got a load of sausages in the fridge for some reason, Just been shopping to ALDI too & didn't get any ready-made pastry D'oh.
That's a fine pot of Basil on your worktop, I've sown three lots of Basil seeds this yea & all look like rubbish. I've just ordered some British Basil seeds off the ebay as they're grown for our lousy wet climate. Thanks for the recipe mate.

Shortcrust or hot water pastry made with lard.
