😂😂😂 This guy here. Dabo's issue with Cowherd wasn't simply thinking Clemson wasn't going to win, it's calling his team a fraud after winning the 2014 Orange Bowl against Ohio St., winning the 2015 orange bowl against Oklahoma, losing in the national championship by 5 points to Alabama in 2015, and shutting out Ohio St 31-0 this season, they've lost 4 games in 4 years. You can think they will lose a game, that's fine, but to call them frauds is ridiculous.

CJ543211 And Colin misunderstood Dabo. He simply told him that he didn't do his homework on the ACC. Cowherd thought VTech-Clemson was a game between two average teams. Instead of listening to Dabo's point he makes weak excuses about listeners and ratings. Totally missed the point.
Silus Did you hear Christine say that he watches games all the time? How likely is it that he didn't "do his hw" or whatever? The fact of the matter is halfway through the season Clemson wasn't impressive; a lot of close games (and a loss) to some teams that weren't very good. He can't win with guys like you; he gives Dabo and the team the credit for the title they earned and all you want to focus on is his defense of his radio content.
Cowherd simply told Clemson, "If ur really that great, earn it." He made Dabo earn it, prove it that they aren't frauds. Clemson had lost to Pitt and barely beaten NC State and Troy. He wanted them to earn it. I have no problem with his fraud comments, which in turn means I have no problem with Dabo's response.

sandman1347 Yeah, it is because 90% of the fans have no clue what they're talking about giving people like Colin an upper advantage. He's been a reporter, he's been in locker rooms, he's lived all over the country, and he's over 50 years old. I'm not saying he's perfect but I rather listen to him than your average fan give analysis. Most fanatics are just homers like yourself so when you hear a bit of critique it rattles you and you see what you want to see and listen to what you want to listen to. Me personally I'm unbiased when it comes to my sports teams.

Thats the point of a sports talk show, give your own opinions about games, results, and other news. They arent fortune tellers and honestly Alabama should have won if they kept up the pressure they had when they began the game.
That defense was looking tired towards the end, Clemson ran lie 99 plays overall which is the highest the Bama defense has faced all season. So towards the end they were worn out. I agree Bama should have won, but I'm happy someone beat them to shut some of the annoying fans (not all are annoying just the ones from where I'm from are)
You can say Alabama will win but to call Clemson a fraud is disrespectful.

+Kyle Lussier He meant it as a championship caliber team early on when they were struggling to beat NC, Troy, Louisville, and later on Pitt. Not as overall people. Quit being butthurt. He actually had them as a playoff team in the beginning of the season. Also gave credit to them here.

You made the right read when Clemson was getting by during the season and made the mature, intelligent response to Coach Swinney's post-game comments. Clemson were great when it mattered. Congratulations to their team and university. Once again, Colin. You validated why you THE sports talk guy I never miss. (Fight On!)

Well yea, I mean Clemson does have an easier route to the NT. Doesn't take anything from the 2 wins in CFP, but I think people are bitchin' about is strength of schedule, lots of teams that don't get in over Clemson because they aren't padding their schedule. Sure I think Clemson deserves credit for being good, but there's no doubt they haven't proved themselves the way some of the other CFP winners have.

Colin, you just got the same response a lot of media people have gotten from Dabo over the last 5 years. Clemson has been a very good program the last 7 years. 1 of the 2 best the last 2 years. It's been a gradual process of going to the "next Levels". He just gets tired that some people in your profession will not acknowledge what is fact based on results. Look at our resume during his time.
Personally, I hope it continues. Dabo has used masterfully to motivate our team and Clemson Nation. Don't be fooled by his, sometimes, quirky mannerisms and quotes. This guy knows what he is doing.

I mean Colin wasn't wrong at the time and Dabo isn't wrong to call him out. Clemson had to bat down a Hail Mary try in Auburn, beat Troy by just 6, Louisville outplayed them most of that game, N.C. State missed a GW FG inside 30 yards, Pitt beat them and torched their defense, and Virginia Tech almost came back and tied it in the ACC title game. Then Clemson destroyed Ohio State and really were the better team last night.

Cowherd was right at the time that he made the original comment, was right when he said that Clemson still needed to earn it, and was right when he said they played their best two games late. Dabo showed *extremely* low class in his remarks which is surprising for someone that people always call classy. Dabo was classless in both the remarks he made and the timing of his remarks. You just proved your point with actions - there was NO NEED to say a word. Sad.

The coach was clearly moved or he wouldn't have bothered to even address Collin or other nay-sayers.
A couple things, media likes to stir things up and probably asked a question and stated that Colin called him and the team frauds in order to draw a sound bite. Is Colin a fraud? No, but he said to ask Bama and State is Clemson is a fraud. Then he said "[MAYBE] he is a fraud" meaning he doesn't think Colin is a fraud it's just the first comeback he thought of. Anyway Clemson earned that victory and proved they weren't frauds and everything is right in the world.
Colin said he was wrong about Clemson before the game even occurred. Colin could have pointed this out and the other things he's said about Clemson in his defense, but he's too smart to do that and shows here why he's one of the best sports radio guys in the business. Don't fight with a tiger, lol.
Dabo didn't punish you. He called you out. It was a shameful thing you said about those young men who showed great character on the field. They always show great dignity on the field.
