    Oh man! This is brilliant! I used to play almost nothing but ragtime (with a little Bach and Mozart tossed in - it's a strange yet tasty dish). This should be pretty easy. Famous last words. You're good!

    Hey, thank you for being so generous, sharing all these free video lessons. However, I just ordered your book through Amazon. Can't wait to get my hands on it. You are an inspiration.Keep boogieing.

    Once again here's a status report & I'm really chuffed that you've answered comments to date. I've been motivated to open the book& have started at track 6, p23. With this LH under my belt I'll then be picking up on this upload & associated lessons. Once again I hope others invest the small amount on the book as this coupled with your YT uploads has moved me into using the investment! Cheers again, Dave.

    Thank you Arthur, I'll be using these excellent recordings to supplement the material in your book. I feel sure that working from both sources I'll slowly make some progress, given time, focus & desire! Keep the support material coming & I hope that others will also buy the excellent book as well. I'm encouraged you have the same Casio(CDP-135?) that I have.. Must have had to get some straps for that stand for this aggressive style of play?

    Excellent, you make it look so easy yet it is this aspect that is eluding me despite so much practice. Clearly much more is needed.Thanks for your inspirational video.

      Thanks Jon. Try other things too while you're at it... like trying to text or write with your right hand while playing the boogie bass with your left. Try talking to someone while continuing to play the bass line with your left hand. It all adds up. I joke about it in this video but it's actually helpful.. czcams.com/video/2F_YaYOT6lo/video.html

    Hi Arthur, I want to buy your book but I'm from Spain, do you have a digital copy so,it's faster, and cheaper too, it's almost double the price for the shipping... Great playing and teaching by the way:

    • @thearthurmigliazza
      @thearthurmigliazza  Před 4 lety

      Thank you Paul. If Amazon prime free shipping is not available for this book where you live, then I have heard of other students in Europe ordering the book through their local music store that sells sheet music. They usually have free shipping. Hope this helps.
      As far as an online pdf for download... I don't know if that is available. You may have to check the Hal Leonard website directly for that. Best of luck and thanks!

    That right there, folks, is exactly how it's done...
    In three months;
    ninety days;
    twelve short weeks at the most...
    you can learn to play boogie woogie just like that...
    I guarantee it!

    That took a turn into mega advanced all of a sudden near the end. How long should it take to be able to manage the fast bit at the end? Months or years??

    • @thearthurmigliazza
      @thearthurmigliazza  Před rokem

      Take your time with it Julian. Every person is different, depending on previous skill level and experience, AND depending on how much time you can put into developing your left hand muscle memory. I would say give yourself 20-30min / day of this exercise (as far as you can get with it) for 3 weeks. That's a total of 7-10 hours over the next 3 weeks. From there you should be able to judge your progress speed and predict how long it will take for your left hand to become automatic. Maybe it will already be automatic by then.

      @thearthurmigliazza  Před 5 lety

      Hi Bruno, thank you! WOW I can't believe Amazon will not send to Switzerland.. The publisher is Hal Leonard. I know that they have my book in music stores around the world. If you can go to a music store near to you, maybe they can order through Hal Leonard? Otherwise maybe there is another website retailer that will send it to Switzerland? I do not carry an inventory of the books myself, but everything is handled through the publisher. Here is the publisher website, maybe you can order directly!? Please try and let me know if you have more problems. www.halleonard.com/product/viewproduct.action?itemid=140698&lid=0&subsiteid=68&subsiteid=68&
