  • @leddielive
    @leddielive Před 7 měsíci +2

    Whatever are you going to do for frustration and anxiety without a DEF system? Surely, you'll be in need of some other misery inducing problem, although almost getting stuck on your maiden voyage was a great effort it's not nearly as heart rendering as DEF issues? Keep the videos coming Mike, we all love you here in the UK 🇬🇧 ❤️.

    Mike, I really enjoy your channel. In many ways so different from the dairy farming we do down here in Wisconsin. But ironically, not always so different. We bought a 9380 last fall! We wanted something we could run cheaper than our newer tractors. We nicknamed ours "Big Red". My brother has been working ground with it this spring and it is pretty cool to see. Ours is 1 year newer than yours so we do have the N14. Also ours is manual shift and takes some real effort! Couldn't resist sharing with you. Keep up the good work and God Bless from WI.

    Had to ask GPT this :
    What does floating in hydraulics mean ?
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ChatGPT
    Floating in hydraulics refers to a specific operating mode of hydraulic systems. In a hydraulic system, power is transmitted through a fluid medium, typically an oil-based fluid. The system consists of a pump, valves, actuators (such as cylinders or motors), and various connecting pipes.
    When a hydraulic actuator is "floating," it means that it is disconnected from the hydraulic pump and is allowed to move freely or be manually controlled without the application of hydraulic pressure. In this mode, the actuator is not actively controlled by the hydraulic system and can be moved by external forces or manually by an operator.
    Floating is commonly used in certain applications where precise control or positioning of the actuator is not required. For example, in the case of a hydraulic crane, the floating mode allows the crane boom to move freely under the influence of external loads or manual adjustments by the crane operator. This mode is useful for delicate operations where the operator needs fine control over the movement.
    In summary, floating in hydraulics refers to the disconnection of a hydraulic actuator from the hydraulic system, enabling it to move freely or be manually controlled without the application of hydraulic pressure.

    • @petermolnar8667
      @petermolnar8667 Před rokem +1

      In a tractor you get 4 positions
      -lift up
      -hold
      -push down
      -float
      The first 3 makes fluid flow in a certain direction or stops it from moving. Floating allows it to flow either way as if the actuator (hydraulic cylinder) wasn’t there, to accurately follow uneven ground surface.
