One thing to note for future submissions if you ever do one. A book failing authentication doesn't mean it's a forgery. It means it failed authentication. Failing authentication just means the signature had too much variation from the standard. If the signer was tired when signing, used a sloppy marker, or just was having an off day that can cause a failed authentication.
You are correct. I remember someone's video where a CBCS slab come back unverified even though the artist signed the book right in front of them.
And the thieves will keep your money.
I've found that CBCS is harsher than CGC. I, too, have taken advantage of their verified signature program on some of my books. I usually look for a discount on the verification and then send in a book with multiple signatures.
Where do you get discounts and what is an example of one?
I have uses VSP from CBCS and everytime have got them verified. They are harsher but I like their slabs better. I like the program a lot.

I met Herb Trimpe at a comic con in 2013. He was just the nicest person, and he signed my copy of Incredible Hulk 180. 5 years later I submitted it and they verified his signature. I was worried about it and I even showed them a photo I took of him signing it. The CBCS guys were really nice and assured me it would be just fine.
I submitted 4 books for verified signature program at their booth at Montreal Comic Con last July. 3 Neil Adams signatures and 1 George Perez. I knew they were authentic as I witnessed them myself. 1 silver age 1 bronze 1 copper and a modern. The grades came back 5.5, 8.5, 9.2 and 9.6. Overall I was very satisfied and may do it again next year.

Byrne only did one signing for CGC and there are hardly any high grades and you’d be lucky to come across even one for sale, so CBCS is the best thing out there for these, they look great! Congrats! Particularly on the last gem 👌👏
The one I was worried about when I submitted was a sketched and signed book. Wasnt sure how they'd deal with it. But in the end all worked out, it's prominently on display now

I bet those X’s were considered defects on that 8.5. The sig was verified but you can’t verify the X’s.
I also did a first-time CBCS VSP submission. Overall pleased with the service. They verified all signatures. Was expecting two 9.8s, but got one 9.8 and one 9.6. (Both with pressing.)
In terms of turnaround time, they were really fast! Submitted these books at NYCC, and received them back in three weeks. Meanwhile, CGC submissions from NYCC just finished pressing and grading after 4.5 weeks. Still lightning fast compared to 2021-2022 times.

I submitted X-Men #25 that was signed by Andy Kubert to CBCS for signature verification. I got a 9.4
More recently I submitted Spider-Man 2099 #1 that was dual signed by both Rick Leonardi & Peter David. I got a 9.6

Was just a couple months. Better than their stated turnaround times.

Nah there are already too many videos out there, everyone looking to regurgitate the same ol’ thing. Not something I’m interested in. Plenty of others have covered already.
I sent those crooks 5 signed books, 4 i got signed in person and 1 i pulled out of a dollar box. long story short they kept my books 14 months and said they were all fakes except the dollar box pull. Also since they decided the signatures were fake they packed them like dog shit! They put 2 books in one bag and board and damaged my high grade signed sandman 1. Id rather burn my collection than let CBCS touch anything. They stole $250 and a year.
