What the hell was this? was my thought when I heard about this version.
The movie was actually better in that regard, the show was just your typical horror story with creatures/beings that show you your loved ones as an attempt to kill you. The show was not bad though, I enjoyed it.

After seeing the 2007 movie (I've read the book too), I honestly thought it was perfectly executed and that twist ending was a heartbreaking tearjerker! I did not expect another rendition to be made but low and behold, it stands up on its own and is equally great! Stephen King really knows how to create such ludicrously enjoyable worlds and characters and stories and I truly love seeing others bringing their vision to the screen.

Leave it to Spike TV to take an absolutely AMAZING premise, and turn it into a mind numbing slog. That ending of the first episode made promises the remaining series could never uphold.

I am surprised the mall manager turned evil so quickly. I assumed he would justify killing that woman and be a more grey character. He did it to keep her quiet. But on the other hand, she was an attempted murderer and tried to kill someone over pure jealousy. If he didn't blame an innocent person, I could see a long, complex conversation about whether killing her was justified.

it's a shame they cancelled this early, although I loved the Mist movie this show was more accurate to the nature of the mist as per King's novels and canonical back story
I really enjoyed how they actually made the mist itself a sentient and nefarious creature that was more intent on tormenting people than just causing their deaths
actually, the Mist movie ending is actually different than the one that the King wrote. the original ending was everybody in the car just drive off into the mist without knowing what going to happen to them. The movie ones is so heartbreaking depressing that even he impress and like it more than the one that wrote.

This show reminds me of this one time when I locked myself in a giant well stocked building, and just watched through the windows while all of the neighbors and townsfolk screamed like chickens while running for their sh^tty lives because of there were giant, demonic insects outside running around and tearing everybody limb from limb.

Netflix ruined this show by making the main story about some random girl got raped and everyone got murdered by her and her family even though the “rapist” was falsely accused by her and the mist and monsters were just a background story. Spoiler: This series was utter trash/garbage from the get go. The writers heads were up their own asses on this one. Just about ALL the characters were utter scumbags except for the young jock who was falsely accused of rape the entire damn season only to be murdered by the fog/other people making him go there after we saw how completely innocent he was. He was the only one innocent in the series, everyone else, including all the protagonists are complete scum and there's no one to want to support.
The series also made no sense and was stupid. Nothing like the Stephen King movie, which was GREAT.
