- A look at the Leica R6.2, Leica's last manual exposure mechanical film camera produced from 1992 to 1997.
Not mentioned is the diopter adjustment or the eyepiece shutter next to the viewfinder.
The ISO/battery check button also activates the exposure meter.
Excellent explanation of the functions of the camera, it is the only video that explains all its functions. Thank you so much.
Klasse Kamera .
Hatte Rollei, Minolta usw.
Die r6.2 gab mir wieder einen Sinn weiter zumachen als Fotograf
The 28 to 70 f3.5 to 4.5 was found out by the British Journal of Photography to be identical to the standard Sigma of the same time. They were both excellent, but like Leica's collaboration with Minolta, the red dots increased the mark up.
Only on first version of that lenses, the second version are made by Leica only using the optical layout, but mechanically are completely different from the old Sigma design.
They improve optically and mechanically, however not as good as the old Minolta based 35-70.
beautiful condition
Thank you! More please!!!
my next camera!!
Cool camera
looking for one of these r 6.2
I am currently using Nikon F3 with 28mm AIS f2.8, its a great camera but just a bit on the heavy side, difficult to use it single handed, could you please make a comparison in terms of handling, thanks
although a few years went, i am also interested in a size comarison, also coming from nikon slrs, also want something smaller.
for now i have to decide between olympus om2 and leica r5
A Leica! Could this be the start of an expensive collection? :)
The camera came with the 50mm & 28-70mm lenses and a case. I then purchased the motor winder and flash. Hopefully that should keep me happy for a while! (the lenses are so bloody expensive!)
Useful video, but I see you are using the SCA 351 adapter for your flash, this is the correct adapter for the R6.2 but according to my Metz chart, not the correct adapter for the flash you are using , or am I wrong about this?
TJ Philips I have sold this system now so I can't verify it, but I think you are right.
Actually, now having looked into it a bit more, I think you were absolutely correct all along! ( i'm finding the Metz charts a bit complicated!)
TJ Philips Yes, I found them complicated!
Hi, great video! What does it cost for this setup?
Kind regards,
Simon
The camera & 2 lenses cost me £600.
divingswallow It was off EBay UK!
Man, that is one clean body....
How do you take an exposure reading?
+Eddie Higbee The meter is activated by lightly pressing the shutter release. When you look through the viewfinder there are LED's at the bottom of the display. If either of the red arrows are lit, then you adjust the shutter dial or aperture ring in the direction of the arrow until only the red circle is lit in the center.
Leica R4 -R7, the most beautiful cameras of the world.
My viewfinder is blurry, doesn’t change when I change the focus of the lens. Any idea?
Set your diopter! Its on the camera...
While I appreciate the effort/skills needed to produce these vids may I make some respectfull suggestions. Keep the camera still!! Set it down on a display support and change the positions to illustate different functions with a pointer, (you do need to look after/care for your hands/fingers). Trying to watch while you are handling/tumbling the camera is disorienting. The camera has many plus points not the least is that as of 2021 the bodies are 'affordable' not to be said for the lenses! Small points are the take up 'spool fingers' are plastic and as plastic 'ages' they can fail and it's not a100% v/f only 92%! Shamefully I am comparing this to a Nikon F2, completely mechanical and battery free except for the various metering viewfinders. I hope you take these comments in good grace, I do appreciate your efforts.
Re. dof lever. Camera needs service. That should sort it. Nice clean example.
Yes, a service would sort it out but it's not bothering me much at the moment. It was previously owned by a doctor who only used it twice!
This or contax S2?
S Newton I've never handled a S2, so I can't say. This or a Nikon F3? The F3 everytime!
Would you say this is better built than a Nikon f2/f3
James Meterissian Yes, apart from the Depth Of Field preview mechanism which is prone to sticking on the Leica.
I would love to have this camera but i am sure the lenses are 💰
My Olympus OM 1 over lived R4s and R7.
Great overview of a classic camera, but is no one going to say anything about this guy's fingers?
nice videos but annoying adverts
I appreciated the video but respectfully the pace is a little slow.
Great review - but GET A MANICURE MAN!!!
nikon f2 is the best mechanical camera ever.olympus om1 is great mechanical camera.nikon fm.fm2 cameras are great and all mechanical.i think leica r6 is good but too expensive compared to other cameras.minolta xd7 is the worst camera ever.its got so many problems.i like my contax 139mm.
