Only thing I think was missing is a fire extinguisher - those can save yours or a bystander’s life
Absolutely you won't need one until you do
Good call Nelson 👍
One rated to put out engine fires. 🔥
I witnessed/was first person to stop for two different engine fires where both cars were engulfed in less than 5 minutes. Both were total losses and both were within 4 blocks of a fire station. After the second one, I've never gone anywhere without a fire extinguisher in my vehicle.
And the kitchen sink🤣
I don’t know what impressed me more the amount of stuff in your truck or the fact you know the name of everything
Weird like that :-)
I thought it was a bit strange that he had an emergency monocle 🧐
It was refreshing seeing how much stuff can be packed away while also still functioning as a family vehicle. I loved how you couldnt tell how much stuff was in it from first glance
Thanks Gabe. Yeah, that’s a big part of my strategy
Love how you label everything with a price ..I appreciate that! It gives me ideas of gear to look for
That big blue solar panel is a beast. I can't say enough good things about it. Years ago in the Army we were sent out into the field for almost a month (yes I'm aware that you were a Ranger and a month is weak sauce). No power, no way to charge our phones, still expected to use our phones for duty, good times. That little panel made my life so much better. It never failed me over the 6 years I was in.
From all the edc content, I love that your channel has that special realistic vibe to it. That video was a lot of work, great job, even years later, i still enjoyed it
Hey thanks, really appreciate that. I’m just as in to all of this stuff as everyone watching, so I try to show the stuff that I would want to see :-)
I do like how you blended everything in. No specific tool box in open view, everything is nicely concealed. good job.
Thanks!
Where I live it gets to 114 degrees in the summer. I find it hard to leave certain things in there in fear it will ruin or spontaneously combust.
I did not see a tire repair kit. They are much faster than a spare tire. Hundreds of people are kill by being hit on the side of the freeway. So the faster you can get back into your car the lower chance you will die. A high visibility vest would also be good.
Excellent kit in general thanks for sharing.
I think you're all set for anything life can throw at you with this setup. Great video.
Not anything, but a lot of it :-)
The best truck edc load out I have ever seen. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.
Loved the video, always like finding good quality channels with no fluff. Keep on putting out great stuff!
I greatly appreciated the thoroughness of your video that incorporated not only your personal comments/input but also the attached links.
Kevin and I just watched..we have camped for 20+ years and definitely would have used some of these items. We were camping the weekend of the 2010 flood and were going to stay but our pop up started to leak. We didn’t have anything to patch with so we came home. The one time where Being unprepared worked in our favor.
Sounds like that was the right move for sure.
Lots of great ideas. Really like the shovel, I will have to check those out.
May I suggest you get a truck box? There are truck boxes that sit inside the bed without taking up the side walls, so you can still use a tunal cover. Also, I did not see an air compressor and fix a flat kit, or maybe I missed it. I have a F150 and I do keep forgetting that the rear seats also fold down to reveal extra storage. Watching this video makes me want to rearrange things and build up my kit better for my truck.
Great video! Definitely found some holes in my truck preps. Thanks for all the info.
23:36 ...Love that FAK with the List on Contents ...awesome job.
Love how you collect all the Survival gear in your DIY survival Box (@24:49) has items from all kinds of brand companies.
😎👍👍
Great list the only thing I would recommend is folding your gloves into each other or using a snack or sandwich bags to keep them neat and together. I usually have a couple of quart ziplock bags in the glove compartment. They're pretty handy especially when you have little ones.
Thanks for all the great ideas. Love watching what people keep in their vehicles.
It’s a fun obsession for sure
Just found this channel and its quality. Just amazing content. Definitely turning my alerts on for this one.
Throw in some metal binder clips. You know the ones from Staples…. They hold papers together. Black with wire handles. They are great for keeping a tarp on a ridge line for a quick bivy.
The Bible in the console got my like & subscription ~ God bless brother🙏
I love your set up. Keep up the great work. God bless you and your family
I found it interesting and a great source of information. Hope to see more of your here.
Was not expecting that at 2:27.... Started laughing out loud! Love the setup, ordering one of those fire bellow straws and big blue solar chargers! Definitely will be a great addition to the rig!
I think you’re the first person to notice that - I’ve been waiting for two months for someone to mention it, haha
Thanks for taking the time to put the brand of all the stuff . Very helpful!
No prob - did that because I wish other vids did that when I watched, haha
Great video, finally found a video like this, totally think the same way with my truck and gear, glad to have found this channel
Yes! Glad to see someone else who is like minded
One of the best over all compact stuff I've seen in one collection, lots of cool ideas...
Hey thanks a ton!
Great video. I have been trying to get ideas on what to have in my truck. Thank you for your recommendations.
Hope you got some good ideas.
Great stuff! I'm going to see what my car will hold/hide tomorrow. Thanks!
Wow man! Awsome! From the thumbnail I was excepting it all to be under a tauno cover or a in a tool box. Then saw it all come from the cab, safe from the weather and always locked up! Great job!
Hey thanks! Yeah, that’s part of my game - keep the truck bed completely empty, and everything else totally hidden.
Amazing, very impressed . Preparedness is definitely Prudent. What comfort and security you must feel that your prepped . Didn’t see Super Glue, then at the end of your video you had it 👍 I once sealed up a child’s scalp who split it open after hitting a tree from riding his bicycle way out in the Forest hours away from a hospital. He definitely needed stitches but thanks to the Super Glue he never had to get them. I was the only person out of 30 people that had Super Glue.
I think there’s super glue in that little ammo box kit, but maybe I’m misremembering
It all comes down to: it's fun to buy things.
Such a nice tools and goodies. Thanks for the effort you put in to it! It s such a great hobby!
Glad you liked it. It’s an obsession for sure.
Big truck👍nice and yes tucked away 👏🏻
I was soo happy to see a Bible!! It's number one in my gear brother thank you for professing your faith!
Most important thing in the truck! Glad to have you on the channel.
Thank you for such a great video like you I have been looking for edc videos to get ideas on what to carry in my truck. and yours has given me some great t ideas thank you again. looking forward to future videos.
Awesome! Glad to hear.
After watching this video, I added a few more things to my track. Great job.
Awesome; what did you pick up?
Great video! I especially like all of the useful gear that you fit into the ammo can. I am definitely going to put something like that into my vehicle.
Just small enough to fit under that back seat!
Dude that’s impressive!!!! Definitely going to use this video every time before leaving to camping lol
Hey there Eric. Great video! I like the addition of the Moonshade Awning, and the ENO Doublenest Hammock to your Truck EDC... They come in very handy.
I use that Eno all the time.
I am 60...my emergency kit was and is zero. I cant believe my family and I survived. It is a miracle.
Great loadout - i have most of these (aside from, luxury items) in a large backpack which we can move between vehicles and take travelling if we move away from the vehicle. This is a huge cache for criminals - all those items add up! Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, it's hidden away precisely because I don't want my truck to scream "steal me!" haha
I enjoy your channel. And I loved the random peacock that peeked in during your introductory comments.
Few people ever mention the peacock! Thanks for watching
Great load out and video!! Well done!
Hey thanks!
I like re watching preparedness videos. Watched this again, I am glad I did. You always learn something. Now I will look for another 110V extension cord since I also have the built in power converter.
glad it's been helpful!
Hi i just bought a 1992 gmc Sierra 2500 4x4. I'm going to use it to move Tenn. I got inspired to retro fit the cabin. Like remove the back bench seat and replace it with a shelf that my last husband built. That way I could organize my tools and such so that i wouldn't have to move 3 items just to get what want. I have also seen where guys are making drawers that pull out under the seat! Thank you so much. I have most of the items that you have minus the hammock, moonshade; which is one item I will be saving money for. That was a idea. I'm planning on moving to Newport, Tennessee and live in a tiny house. I can't wait, I'm tired of WA state. I miss my people. Any way. Now I know what I need and where to to put it.
Just found you. Love the video quality and your clear concise explanation. You have a new subscriber. Looking forward to looking at your additional content! Great job!
Glad to have you!
Very nicely done!
I think you did a great job relaying the information. Thank you
Thanks!
Well what a smart idea I have a 2002 jeep liberty but not a ton of space however this has inspired me to do some like this thank you
You did an awesome job with the way You stored/ hid everything I am gonna rethink mine now again AWESOME JOB
Hiding it is where it’s at :-)
I am a new prepper! Thank you for all the ideas. I can use those goodies.
You’re welcome :-) hope you got some fun ideas
Love it man! Just a suggestion if you want more of a “crowbar with an edge” knife try one of the KA-BAR beckers, I have one in my car and it’s saved me so many times.
I just found your channel and I love it. I've been making a shopping List while watching it.
Haha, awesome. Glad to have you.
Matador and niteize have quickly risen to some of my most used, favorite durable gear. They just make an amalgamation of things that I use in my daily life.
Im not knocking it or you. But the stuff you keep in your truck is probably worth more than my truck lol. Now what I keep in my car wifes car and my truck that you should think about is a slingshot with steel shot or the ceramic shot in case you need to get small game for food (plus it's fun to mess with) and also some food sowed away maybe granola bars pop tarts maybe a box or 2 of each and the kids would be happy. be safe and have fun
Yeah, I guess there’s risk to having it all in there. Love the slingshot idea.

That’s crazy all that in your truck. I’m going to copy you. Thanks for sharing
Haha, please do!
Lots of good ideas to consider, thanks. I think the gear in your truck is worth more than my whole truck though!
Pretty good choice of equipment. I made some changes and reduced the amount because I don't have as much storage areas.
Really liked the hammock.
You have a lot of good ideas .we’re going to use some thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video. Great ideas. Thank you.
Hope it helps you load up your own rig!
I like your edc gears. You have really quality things. In general quality things are expensive! 👍👍👍
Loved the video. I like the many storage locations. I am always looking for ways to store items in my truck. I never thought to put an extension cord in the truck. Great idea! I have a tactile booster seat in my truck as well! Again, great video! I’ll continue to watch for future videos. Be well!
Thanks Carl! Keeping it all hidden is the trick :-)
You should have carseat organizers for the front seats, and waterproofed bench seat cover for the back.
The carseat organizers have super convenient, handy dandy pockets to stow your most important stuff at arm's reach.... And if you have normal kids, the "pet" cover will be invaluable, since it could be used as a stretcher to help extract an injured person from an accident. You could even make your own from a heavy duty canvas, with handles at the corners, with that use in mind. Just remember to stitch and glue around the slits for the seatbelt buckles.
Great video! Thanks 🔥
I just found you and subscribed, thumbs up n such. I will be here and God willing learning a bit
Tks for sharing 👌🏻! Great vid; just subscribed 🙏🏻👌🏻
Great video buddy! I didn’t see too much emergency food hidden away in case SHTF. Need to stock up my own vehicle now. Thanks!
I normally always have snacks of some sort. I’ve thought about putting lifeboat food in there since it does well in all temperatures.
Had a laugh when it said “dryer lint from your wife”😂
Love your videos bro! you have such all crazy gear back there.. want to build mine too !
So glad you’re digging them. Have a personal EDC vid coming soon 💪🏻
@@AtHomeInTheFuture interesting !
Great video, man you are super prepared, you got everything someone could need, Thanks for the opportunity to win.
Hope so!
Way to pack your rig ! Lots of good equipment that I didn’t know could be very useful. Thanks for the content you’re putting out,
Wow! Great video! Explained simple and well for the layman. I really like how most of your stuff in concealed unlike some EDC bug out vehicle videos.
Glad you dig it; yeah, I wanted to build it out in a way that the car was still 100% useful and I didn’t look like a crazy person :-)
The only things I would add would be a small backpack and a vehicle fire extinguisher. The pack would free up your hands when you have to leave your vehicle with some gear. Another add would be some space/survival blankets and a 3 wick candle if you get stuck in winter.
Great👍 items I need to add more 👌
Great video. You can never be too prepared, especially when camping with kids.
Our kids LOVE messing with this stuff
@@AtHomeInTheFuture I bet. Mine are the same way. The only thing I would recommend that I didnt see in your list is a portable air compressor and tire plug kit.
Yeah, actual stuff to fix the car 😂
Thank you for the giveaway! I'm working on starting to gather gear as my kids are getting close to camping and wilderness trips.
That’s a fun season of life! My daughter thinks my survival gear is super cool, and we love learning new skills together. I even made them their own “adventure kits” last summer :-)
Nice reveal of your truck stuff. I got many ideas that I don't have in my car. But I think having a small bottle of soap, whether for dishes like that bucket and cup, or just cleaning up tools and wounded areas. Thats the only thing I can see missing. But other than that, seems like all bases are covered for camping or emergency situations. Awesome.
Great idea
This was a very informative video.
very good organization so comprehensive.
Took a while to get it all right :-)
Very good prepping lesson!
Lots of stuff in there
Awesome setup ! like how if you are looking from the outside you would never know you have all that gear !
That parts the most fun for me. Just looks like a normal every day dad truck :-)
Great video! I keep the same harbor freight tool kit in my truck. I have many of the same types of items along with a 72 hour backpack. I did a slightly different route in terms of setup though. Most of my gear is locked in a tote and cable tied in the bed of my truck. I have a locking cover and tailgate so it is all out of site. I keep a few edc items in the cubby and under the backseats. I also keep more tactical oriented gear along with urban survival equipment such as bolt cutters. Probably all overkill but lots of the items have come in very handy. You never know what life throws at you during the course of the day.
You just reminded me of something GIANT I left out... I meant to say that my fourth rule was wanting to leave my truck bed empty! I use my truck bed all the time to haul stuff like kayaks and kids gear, so I made it a personal goal to keep that area clear as kind of a game, haha.
Sometimes I keep a bug out bag in mine too, but I moved to a mini kit I keep in my work backpack for now.
We need a video of your truck!
@@AtHomeInTheFuture I just strap kayaks on top of my tri fold cover. Fortunately I only do that 2x a year anyhow. I get to store mine at the lake during kayak season. I may have to do a truck video one of these days. Tough to find that extra time... Mini kit is a great idea, I just prefer a backpack so my hands remain free for other tasks, also easier to run with a pack than carrying a box.
Haven’t thought of trying them on top of my cover; I’ll have to try that.
Hey thanks for posting the video, it’s very helpful. Just a quick tip. If it’s possible please anchor your booster seats. It’s not mandatory I don’t believe from the manufacture but I can tell you from experience that they’re much safer when anchored. Especially when empty if they’re not anchored the seat becomes a projectile that can turn a minor accident into a devastating event.
Good to know!
That's a nice amount of accoutrements you got. Change the truck to a 1 ton 4x4 and carry water. Lots of water. Maybe some SOS bars. Maybe upgrade some of the HB tools to a little more robust equipment.
Really nice video...watching from Doha Qatar
Love the video! I too have lots of essentials tucked in spaces and cubbies in my Jeep Cherokee. I use my vehicle for work and sometimes I am 150 miles from home so I have most everything I think I need for survival if I become stranded or need to stop for the night. The Moon awning is so cool! Wonder if that would work on my Jeep? Stay prepared!
Awesome! High five on the prepped out rig :-)
Nice Video. Agreed 100% on the Husky vs. WeatherTech. I've used both and Husky are far superior.
Tons better
Looking forward to your latest content.
I really like your uses of space
Glad you dig it! The trick is keeping the truck where you can actually use it in every day life too.
Wow, that's some good packing.
Lots of trial and error!
:)
You sure have a lot of stuff in one truck.I have more rope and pear a cord .but sure gave me some good ideals for the future. Thank you
help. what is pear a cord? should i get some right away? or can it wait.
Great collection of edc car items!
Thanks!
That Olight in the driver door is my favorite. I have been looking at it online but never pulled the trigger on one. Thanks for the giveaway
That little Olight is something I use all of the time for all sorts of things. Snatch one up for sure - check my link - cheap on Amazon right now!
@@AtHomeInTheFuture awesome. Yeah ill go check it out!
Outstanding sir. Thanks
Glad you liked it
Great vid bud. God bless.
