All good stuff. I can tell you’re a dedicated father, keep in mind that your ammo can will be a missile inside your cab in an accident. Having those items in a canvas bag under the seat may be a better option. Good stuff keep up the great work!

Excellent set up! Since you have a full size truck and have the room, I always recommend carrying a full size shovel with a standard length handle. When you really have to dig, you don't want to be hunched over or on your belly to get under the center of your truck chassis or getting your truck unstuck from a ditch. A full length shovel can also be used as a pry bar, to safely break car windows, throwing large amounts of dirt on fires, etc.

Great load out Marine X, You provided me some great ideas for my truck. I have a 2023 4Runner TRD and am slowly working on my load out. My primary is done for the cab. My secondary and tertiary are a work in progress. I recommend a wool blanket and a snow shovel only because I live in the Northeast and we can have some very cold and snowy winters. In addition, I keep spare light bulbs, wipers, and window wash in my truck tool kit. Thanks for sharing.

Liked the video. I have the Diamondback HD cover and headache rack for my 2016 F-150. It is a very functional cover but the headache rack is the most impressive. I have hauled big items halfway across the country with zero worries of my rear slider being damaged. The cover wouldn't be nearly as functional without the headache rack.

Love this video. Just got myself my first truck. Its a 2023 Tundra. I have a warrenty atm but I am eying things I can do in the near future. But for now I can easily add things to the backseat. Like my wool blanket, small shovel and handaxe (want a larger one for the bed) bungie cords, regular cords, straps. Just things I may or may not need. Zip ties.

Dude, your videos are great. I just want to recommend the Glock shovel (e-tool) with telescoping handle. It has a pretty capable wood saw concealed inside the handle, and the shovel head can lock into 2 or 3 positions. It can take a lot of abuse, and does a better job than many other e-tools on the market.

I have to say on a couple of fronts…
1: if I am carrying a shovel in my truck it won’t be a gerber e-tool. When you have a nice system like that to mount stuff, why not have a decent spade with at least a 3’ handle.
Also, why not get a hi-lift jack when you have a lifted truck? Again you have an easy place to mount it in the bed.
One other thing I would suggest in a setup this complete. Put in a bottle of propane and a screw on burner. The burner and gas bottle would take up little room and when you were talking about lighting fires and warming hands… I just like to cheat and have a ready made flame that is going in seconds wet or dry.
One other thing because I could not see your tool kit. I have a rule now on trucks because of issues I have had with tires. I carry a full size impact socket for my lug size and a 30” breaker bar so I know I can get the tire loose. I have had impact gun batteries die, small lug wrenches bend… screw that…big ass breaker bar is what you want to carry.
    But overall, very nice setup.

Good vid. I saw Kleenex but I keep a role of tp and baby wipes just in case. They have come in handy. Keep in mind that anything that is not secured on the inside of the cab will become a projectile if you were in an accident. I see it all the time as I am a firefighter.

One thing you might look into is vehicle extraction and recovery. The tow strap is better than nothing but, I think something like the Bubba or Yankum recovery ropes would be better. They allow a lighter vehicle to use a bit of momentum to pull out a heavier vehicle.

The molle system is very nice. Modular. I notice that you use a window marker. Was wondering how quickly do they dry out? I use a white grease pencil that I keep in the visor molle system in my truck. I know you didn’t go into detail about what’s in your med packs so I was wondering do you keep any hydration products in your pack like “liquid iv”? I live in Georgia so it gets hottttt. And you being in Texas…. well hit again. 👍🏾🏆Thanks for sharing.

Awesome Video. I just started watching you and I've been impressed with your content so far. I wanted to make a quick suggestion. I would suggest keeping a CAT Tourniquet somewhere within your direct reach as driver. I work on an ambulance and a crew on the same shift as me had a gentleman roll his truck while driving with his arm out the window. It turned everything below his elbow into essentially meat spaghetti and the only thing that stopped him from bleeding out was that he had a TQ in reach as his legs were pinned. Even though you may not be a fan of sticking your arms out the window extremity injuries have a funny way of coming about. That would be my only suggestion! Thanks again for the content.

I am new here to your channel and i very much enjoyed the video.
I have a 2012 Toyota Tundra Crewmax lifted and i absolutely love my truck and also own a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT 4x4 which i love very much too. The damm thing just wont break down for whatever reason i throw at it...
Anyways, my Tundra is more of my daily driver so i decided to do the same couple years ago . I have the foward folding down seats in the rear and i usually keep everything behind it.
I have a Fiskars all black version axe with the matching all black hatchet and damm have they come in handy. I also have a Fiskars mallet hammer as well as the driver hammer and a Fiskars wrecking bar, the smaller one all behind the rear seat.
They've long enough and they all lay flat kinda on top of each other. I have both the e-tool entrenching tool as well as a regular shovel that lay behind the seat.
I also keep two sized bolt-cutters in a zippered up small cushioned bag, cant remember where i got it from but you just never know when bolt-cutters will come in handy.
Got plenty of ropes of varying types and sizes as well as different tie-down straps in a large pouch bag. Got flashlights galore and a couple of headlamps. I also keep those glow sticks handy as well to cover all my lighting needs.
Got first aid kits and a couple of small little boo boo kits as well as a couple of the Condor large rip-away EMT kits i use mainly for trauma kits, one gunshot wound specific and the other mainly in case i come up on a vehicle accident to help if needed.
Got plenty of car charger kits as well as a solar charger bank. Need to get one more too. Got a couple of really good tool kits that fit just nice and snug under the back seat. My other full sized tool kit sits behind the rear seat on top of all the other "stuff"....😮
Got some other stuff that are definitely "for the truck and goes everywhere" stuff, cant think right off the top of my head. Got a few extra blankets and a extra ballcap and a coat back behind the seat as well.
Blankets are in case if travelling back home to Northern Idaho, i can sleep at a truck stop on the way and with my windows tinted, helps cut out sunlight. Or, give to a homeless person in need during winter time which ive done quite a few times over the years.
But one thing i would recommend for you that i did not see in your truck and has proved invaluable for me...radio comms. You should get a CB radio especially you being in Texas and Texas being a huge major truckers haven, you could get a lot of info from those guys just by tuning in.
I'm out west somewhere and there are times i tune in to listen to truckers talking from both Texas and Louisiana. With you being in a huge trucker state, I'm telling you man, a CB would prove invaluable.
Also what you may wanna get, get a couple of GMRS radios as well. I got a base model Midland MTX275 and a Wouxon UV9GR Pro or Plus or something like that, dont have it in front of me handheld and these have come in handy as well and i do not EVER leave my house without those radios in my truck. Worth their weight in gold in a power outtage scenario.
Anyways, I've typed way to frigging much but just wanted to share what i have and give ya a couple recommendations. I loved this video and when i get a chance, ill check out your other ones as well. Stay safe and have a great day...

    • @stevespilker7640

I've been thinking about a CB for my truck and GMRS as well. Would consider a small CB for the truck. What do you have? I like the GMRS vids I have seen, but not sure if they are practical enough. I have one Baofeng UV5R, may get another one or upgrade to a newer Baofeng.

its cool to see different set ups in pick up beds.
I have the diamondback HD aswell, but i got their tool box that's a drop in and ive attached these same builtright industries panels in the interior of it, and then have maxtrax attached to the outside of it and 2 jerry cans one on either bed wall.
really like your use of the molle panels along the bed though. What rail system to you have for your "boomstick"?

Nice set up- was thinking instead of the bottle jack why not a “farm jack”? Maybe store it on the underside of you cap? Chem lights!!! Not sure if they are practical in Texas due to wildfire risk but what about road flares (fuses)? If you Stop to help someone, it would be nice to earn approaching vehicles, might save your life. What about a set of Bino’s? Even a small set- I keep a set in my door.

Maybe I missed it but, do you have a fire extinguisher on the truck. I love your truck though. I work out of my truck. I gave it more of a modular design built around Milwalkee packout boxes and mounts on a bedslide. The packout boxes are waterproof and I have different boxes for different tasks. I just load up the boxes that I need and go.
I would suggest getting a bedslide. I got mine used on CL for like $300. Not having to climb into the bed is life changing.
Also you would like the Milwalkee M12 lantern. It gives off lots of light and also has a USB charger built in.
    OK just saw your extinguisher.😊

Looks like you're in the driver's seat, and you have a big box of tools on the driver's side as well. If the tools you and the fuel tanks are on the same side do you see that being an issue?

This is funny this popped up on my suggested videos since I'm actually going to look at a new truck this weekend. I have a 2015 F150 currently, but I'm looking at a new frontier or a Tacoma.

Why would you want to down size to a smaller truck? The cabs are so much smaller inside.

I always always have a cooler. Waters and some sodas. Sports drinks and the like. Get a good one and you’ll only need to add ice every 4 days or so

How much does all of that stuff weigh? Just curious how it affects MPGs. Nice truck, BTW. I just picked up the new Chevy version. Can't wait to kit it out, starting with some 35s.

Hey, I bought the Coast flashlight and the Quick Fist holders. How did you secure them in the handle mounts. Mine are only held in place by metal clips. I’m in for $100 so I’d rather finish the job than return all the items.
    Thanks
