i saw him as part of Dallas's very first rave, billed as "RAVE MASSIVE" in 1991, outdoors, and it included the plus 8 records crew, richie hawtin, kenny larkin, john aquaviva, cybersonik, and others i cant recall.......? its cool how he uses ableton live along with a mixing board, thats what i want my ultimate set-up to be like

Love listening to him talking. Very down to earth and humble. He’s funny too, can see how he ended up doing stand up comedy as well as music.

Yup, the glory these days is to be able to afford the vintage synth sounds through new versions of the machines. Samplers and granular synthesis is something that back in the day was inly for the rich. Awesome studio!!

A real talent and obviously a nice lad, too. I've always loved his music, Azimuth is an amazing album. I love his honesty about how he creates and where he gets his inspiration from, too. No pretence, just sharing the music. He's the polar opposite to some artists you could mention in Detroit.

I agree. Newer production standards suck the life out of music - they have that cheesy big club hi-fi quality i can't stand.

He keeps saying he isn't a musician, but as someone who had piano lessons from 4-18 I can confidently say you don't have to be trained to be a 'real musician.'
I think he is alluding to the distinction one might draw between a "musician" and an "artist". He is the latter but not the former.

Not a musician, I was a "Pack Rat" sold everything that had a preset...went modular...never looked back. I like the fact that I have to patch and turn knobs to get the creative juices going. Great Video!.
