Entendue hier soir dans le même rôle au MET de N.Y. ... impressionnante d'aisance, timbre chaleureux, cuivré et rondeur, - j'ai d'abord cru que nous avions affaire à une mezzo ... Voix presque un (tout petit) peu trop couverte parfois dans le début mais ensuite gagnant en clarté, splendide et lumineux - et puis quelle jeu d'acteur ! Un vrai délice. =) Pur bonheur. A Slavic voice is always immediately recognizable. In Rebeka's case, it's a good thing. Very brilliant and penetrating singing.
The MET is her place on the Earth - one of the best sopranos today. I hope she will surpass Netrebko in popularity.
