  • As an agronomist and farmer, Matt Foes understands how soil compaction can affect his crops and impact yields. That’s why he made the switch to super single tires with Low Sidewall Technology® (LSW). Running a John Deere 1770NT 24-row planter on a tractor weighted down with front-mount fertilizer tanks, Foes had been concerned with the pinch row effect of traditional row crop tires. Upgrading from conventional duals to LSW super single tires let him spread the footprint and mitigate soil compaction caused from the heavy machinery. The Illinois farmer found that the LSW tires float on top of the soil without making a footprint and left no tracks in the field or damage for the following year.
