Galactic civilization is at an end. After successfully carrying out her mission to wipe out the Metroids on planet SR-388, legendary bounty hunter Samus Aran was attacked by the mysterious gelatinous lifeform known as ” X ” which the Metroids had been specifically designed to hunt by their creators, the Chozo. The parasite made quick work of her and the bounty hunter dropped dead minutes later, while a nigh-identical copy of her formed from the parasite, the SA-X…
The SA-X would take over Samus’s ship and, together with a few other X parasites, leave the planet to take over the galaxy with their power to easily kill and then mimic their prey. Over the next few months, both the Galactic Federation and Space Pirates would quickly be overwhelmed by the ever-growing parasitic lifeforms, with all of them becoming nothing but mutated copies. All of them? No! On the faraway Planet Nebov, a small group of indomitable Space Pirates still held out against the invaders, consisting of Kraid, Ridley and Crocomire, who had been sent there shortly before the X attacked Zebes to build a secondary Metroid Breeding Program in order to potentially find a vaccine to the virus. Multiple tests were conducted and the Space Pirates leaders managed to find Vaccine “Metroid”, and injected it into the planet’s inhabitants in order to make them immune to the X and be able to rebuild an army to eventually take down the parasites.
The vaccine proved to be successful, and even the strongest of the X mimics were unable to take over the planet, while its inhabitants lived a somewhat normal life, even having Crocomire hosting a live Metroidvania gameshow with the Zebesians as contestants! So now, as a last-ditch effort, the X hivemind is sending you, Samus Aran-X to take down the last obstacles to complete X domination.

Oh i didnt realize this game was actually the adventures of SA-X. Kinda crazy for a x parisite to have its own adventure

Although that means this is an alternate timeline where Samus died and the X-Parasite emerged victorious and infected the entire galaxy.
That is, the timeline of speedrunners, because they didn't want to save the animals.
@@Sumire973 Well from what I gather in this case its more like the X-Parasite decided to not take chances with Samus with its surprise attack judging by the description.

How in the HELL did they put Super Metroid music and sprites? Are hacks getting more advanced?
Its a reco,lored SAX sprite from Fusion, you can tell more easily later in the game. Also that pose is from the first elevator explosion scene in Fusion. Yes the hacks are getting more advanced, the sound effects, and music have been reformatted to the GBA engine, and someone painstakingly took the tilesets from Smet and resized them into this game. its art
In Metroid Desolation they managed to put AM2R music completely intact, meaning the GBA is capable of playing CD quality music in-game, obviously the audio quality is not the best because the GBA never stood out for that.

I really hope they make another metroid gba hack with more play able SA-X cause this one is amazing

The appeal of this sprite is that Samus looks aggressive and powerful.

That’s funny how you one shotted the worm boss from zero mission because you already had super missiles. I’ve seen other fan made Metroid games re-use assets like the worm boss, but with increased hp just because the player already had x, y, and or z upgrades. But nonetheless, this is a cool looking fan make for sure.

I am a huge fan of this rom hack. I played on normal and hard. Getting the first item by wall jumping that single block was so tough! The rest of the game was dope though I loved it. I was scratching my head several times.
If only Roebloz fix the sprite of the main hand cannon, SA-X isn't leftie btw (idk if he has updated the hack yet this is hella dope)

Was bad to try and adapt the super metroid graphics to zero mission engine.
The sprites are completely different in size, backgrounds look weird.
This adaptation / hack is bad.
