  • When it comes to lowering springs on the new S650 Mustangs, they appear to lower the car more than the S550s. This isn't due to weight as the cars are similar, but the new body panels and how they sit relative to the wheels. With that being said, we've seen a whole lot of you out there spending money on new wheels, only for the fitment to not be perfect. Today we're going to explain everything you need to know before you buy wheels and even some tips to help perfect your fitment if you already have wheels!

    Will the spacers fit on a s650 with the magnaride

    I am going to go with the ferrada fr3s in 20x10 +40mm squared and then use spacers to adjust from there. Any thoughts on this? The fr3s only come in +40 with the right bolt pattern.

    20 x 10 offset 35 and 285/35/20 tyres (tires) fit on front and back and you can rotate them , that’s my experience , and they fill the guard nicely

    So I finally slapped on some 19x9.5 +22 all around with 275/40/19 squared on Steeda Progressive Springs. Rears are dialled in but the front left driver side tire rubs when there’s little dips on the road, even the tiniest dip. Should I go smaller tires on the front or ask the shop to realign? It’s really annoying hearing the rubbing when hitting small dips/divots. It doesn’t rub when turning though, just under load. Help me Steeda, I really love your springs :(

    New to the Mustang world, just picked up my s650 GT. I’m planning on running your progressive springs with a 19x10 +40 wheel square set up. Any recommendations on tire size? And think I’ll need to add wheel spacers? Thanks! 🤘🏼

      For a 19x10 square, a 275/35R19 will fit great all around. 285 would be the max width you could go. You shouldn't need any wheel spacers. The 19x10s we make have an offset of +37 and fit great with that tire size. The +40 is only a 3mm difference so they'll be a hair further in the wheel well, but not so much a spacer is required.

    The progressives did drop it more than I expected still love the look and how it rides and handles, but I did get some rubbing on my front driver side soon after I had PPF installed, so I’m wondering if I went on a dip a little too quick. There were no signs of previous rubbing before the PPF. Have tried to see if I can replicate the rubbing with some tape or seeing if it’ll rub off actual paint or more of the PPF, but seems to be fine. And I’m on 19x10’s up front with a 35 offset no spacers. Luckily no rubbing on the rears on 305’s. May get camber plates or front spring spacers just to be safe or prevent future rubbing.

      @steedaautosports  Před 3 měsíci

      Try to see if it also happens on the front passenger side, it could be an alignment issue. Did you install camber bolts with the springs? Depending on where it is hitting the fender, a small front camber adjustment could be the fix.

      @@steedaautosports I’ve already been in contact with someone regarding everything just been over a week waiting for a response. But I haven’t seen the issue with the passenger side because I did check and haven’t seen any PPF rubbed off. I sent my alignment sheet to Tim. I believe my front driver side is at -1.8 camber and passenger front -1.6. All I had installed were the springs.

    Hello I ran into a problem on my s650 I was wondering if there is any way to fix or what new tire size should I get right now it is 305 45 r17 on welds in the rear but it rubs, and I cant find any 305 35 r17

      @steedaautosports  Před měsícem

      305/45R17 and 315/50R17 are what we run on our drag cars. What lowering springs are you on? We do have Rear Spring Spacers that you could use to bring the rear up a bit, or if you're at the track a lot, we have a Rear Ride Height kit that allows you to adjust the rear ride height.

    Hi Steeda, can 19x10.5 +30 fit on my s650? Rear wheel by the way. Thanks

    • @G82Jesse
      @G82Jesse Před měsícem

      A +30 offset in the rear is likely too aggressive of a "poke", you may be rubbing on the fender when your shock spring compresses. They stated a +50 offset was pretty much the minimum needed to get that wheel closer to the center of the car.

    I got the pirelli p zero 255/40R19 up front and 275/40ZR19 in the back. I got the titan accessory 25mm spacers. My car is the performance pack with magneride. I got the progressives and was gonna throw them on this weekend with a friend who knows his way but now I’m not sure.. so I need these camber plates to ensure I won’t scrub the fronts and what do I need in the back to ensure?? Spring spacers?

      Are you on the stock wheels? You could install the springs without the 25mm spacers and see where the tire ends up in relation to the fender. Then work out if you actually will need to adjust the front camber or add spring spacers in the rear. You shouldn't need to with those tire sizes you're running. We have lots of spring install videos you can check out to get an idea. The process is the same as the S550s, but just make sure your MagneRide wiring is properly routed.
