I like how Iain almost knows a good amount about wrestling. Like he called out some spots right, but he definitely relied on assuming the crowd doesn't know about wrestling to make it sound like he knows more than he does. Makes it believable for those who aren't major wrestling fans, and funny for those who aren't. I appreciate it.
YO! I'm so thankful for you uploading your content, I hear them talking about such events in their podcasts or interviews and now I can see what they were talking about!
Yeah I only heard about it through Ed's radio show. They should've promo'd it more, don't think they realise how many people would go CRAZY for this haha
He's said he's got an obsessive personality, so when he gets into something he goes a bit crazy with it. Last I heard he was into headstands and really annoying James with them on tour 😂
Surly there are enough panel shows to last a lifetime for these ‘comedians’ to have proper work in the light entertainment department of the BBC, Dave and Channel 4? How star studded is this? Very impressed. Oh it’s Comic Relief, explains so much. A lot better than I was expecting! Well done
2 thoughts. I so wish American comedy was as silly as British humor. They do not take themselves seriously at all, and that's awesome. Second the pros did a fantastic job making those comedians look good. And the comedians were impressive as well. Go Daddy Rosie! That Greg Davies bit was hilarious. But I was most impressed by Ed Gamble's partner. That dude really stepped up to work with 3 different comedians.
I'm not 100% sure but Max is also a wrestler, I would be amazed if he was pulling out a tornado ddt's and taking powerbombs as a comedian. But Ed's partner was sick I was amazed at how legit of a match they pulled out with 2 comedians
@@KetaManiacc fair enough. When they introduced them as the creators I just assumed they were both comedians with maybe a love for wrestling. But either way I was super impressed by this overall. Everyone did a good job.
Aussies are the same I lived in a america and comedians do come across more arrogant and self important while British don't care about making fools of themselves
I'm trying but this is a struggle to watch 😅 No mic above the ring so we miss half of what's being said and everything outside of the wrestling is so stilted and awkward like nothing was rehearsed...
Same. I let it play through twice in the (my) background and didnt follow well. I finally stopped what I was doing when I heard Phil and Alex participating and decided to restart it. I’d love if they’d had a mic above the ring, but was able to follow and fully enjoy whatever the hell it was that I just watched 😀
I've seen photos from previous years and am thrilled to see footage. I'm a wrestling novice but love comedians doing unexpected things. I think a few things would improve future broadcasts: 1. Mic the ring or have commentators repeat those lines 2. Stack the panel with one real wrestling commenter, one wrestling-savvy comedian like Iain, and no more than one comedian who adds nothing but jokes or chaché - I cant enjoy the wrestling if i can't follow it and I can't enjoy the jokes that make this harder to do. 3. Mic the audience a bit - i bet the live experience was hype, but listening to faint music or silence while wrestlers postured and vaunted got a little awkward. 4. All non-combattant participants need to affirm the same reality of the wrestling - if someone's persona is authentically a badass or gorgeous or sadistic, don't undercut that with joke. It removes the lampshades the absurdity of The Wrestling which is the whole fun of it. 5. Video director needs more lag or a script of every fight - it was a shame how many major moves/beats were completely out of frame.
Anyone else tired of Iain Stirling? I used to like him alright but after Taskmaster thought he was a bit of a wanker and any other appearances just seem to confirm that opinion 🤷♀️
He had me irritated as *F* on TM. There were some moments where he was watching his total shit behavior play out and he seemed honestly introspective and showed deference. Still a wanker though. Good thing he was in between Aisling and Nish.
I like these comedians just fine but not as commentators. They are too involved making piss poor jokes to properly comment on the situation. It's distracting af.

This is definitely a fever dream i had during lockdown 😂
This is definitely a fever dream I had during breakdown!
Right wing Joe Lycett is my favorite character
Not prominent right-wing comedian Joe Lycett! His views aren't welcome here!
You might like James Acaster then
@@justacommenter I do like James

Rosie doing the Eddie Guerrero spot is glorious
Taskmaster AND Jazz Emu??? We have been blessed
What really sucks is JFL 2024 was canceled and so now we don't get to see Acaster wrestle.
"We needed that table for the buffet!"
This is great. Thanks for uploading it.

@@IsthisastepI think they probably like how small it is. Gives that Edinburgh fringe feel.
This has no right being THIS good. That tag match has me dying 😂😂😂
Ikr! The tag match was a work of art. The skinnier of the two comedian pair was surprisingly fit and able to pull of quite a few impressive moves.
i genuinely yelled wtf is this to my phone,I’ve seen some pics before but I always thought it was some comedy charity thing !
Think it was for comic relief
hahahah I've already watched the video and thought it was weirdly funny!

This was amazing! This needs to be televised.
this is so ridicolously good
Ed Gamble's tag match was surprisingly good tbh lol
He seems like the kind of guy who would...get REALLY into it.
He's said he's got an obsessive personality, so when he gets into something he goes a bit crazy with it. Last I heard he was into headstands and really annoying James with them on tour 😂
I think they been rehearsing the action
Ed Gamble is actually a big wrestling fan and was on a wrestling podcast not long ago talking about this and his love of WWE.

Greg has so many bruises from practice ; hee hee or ROSIE! CLASSIC ROSIE MOVE!
This is definitely a weird fever dream

No problem!
1:30:13 AS GOD IS MY WITNESS HE IS BROKEN IN HALF
I had no idea this was a thing but it was great!
Cara Noir has an AWESOME gimmick.
He had an amazing match with PAC a few years ago that was all about him just wanting a handshake
The tag match was incredible ngl
Ah thank you I gave up hope on finding this!! I thought Ed would have chest tatts by now. We want Acaster and Wang 2024!
This is bizarre
There's just no way this could ever be done in America. People would take it too seriously. This was incredible. Every minute. Thanks for uploading it

I’m gassed by the obvious effort of Phil. I must’ve been fooled with his blasé demeanor. That dude went hard here and clearly practiced many moves.
Maybe that’s part of why the American version didn’t work out
WHAT is wrong with the crowd during the opening song?? STAND UP AND FREAK OUT!!
lol yea dare i say it could have done with some american plants in their.
it's a terrible show

I'm headcannoning Cara Noir as Jamie Bell
This is surreal
This is absolutely brilliant. This could never work in America, as Kevin Hart would be fighting Bad Bunny in the Main event at WrestleMania.
America just can’t

Who's in the lucha mask?
