Great video. Always enjoyed seeing Test card F. We had it here in Australia back in the analogue days and prior to 24 hour TV operation.

Reminds me of a tune that should have been used for the Radio 1 MW/AM distribution tests when there was a change in wavelengths in November 1978

I just used the 'Shazam' app to find out what the first track (a little jaunty disco number) is called and the artist. It's called "Happy End" by Vladimir Cosma from the French Soundtrack of a movie called "L' Animal' starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Raquel Welch so obviously a 70's movie. When I get time I will 'Shazam' the other tracks.

Oh this is my favourite song and I love so much and now this reminds of the old video of ceefax of the year when I was born 1998 and now I like the European type music that is my favourite and now I love it more. And I like the test card.

Charlie, test card and Ceefax music from this period is a lot better than the crap they play on Radio 1.

Yes alot better than that stupid radio that interrupts what they saying and believe or not I always watch the TV and when you are in the car or any vehicle that hasn't got a TV that really bugs me when go into the tunnel and radio keeps interrupting what they trying to say so I always watch the TV.

And if you were around much earlier than the 1990's you would recall just one programme on BBC2 at 11am on BBC2 before 7.30pm, and periods of daytime closedown on BBC1.
And for a time after November 1982, you had 4 channels all playing test card music at the same time including the interludes on Schools and Colleges on weekday mornings on ITV with the big countdown clock.
