No doubt, the most under rated and mega talented country rock band that ever existed. Damn shame they were lightyears ahead of their time and never received the glory due to them. 👊

My heavy metal & psychedelic ass in the 90's found their records, then would just trip out on them. Haven't heard of them since till now! They r wayyyy underated, if I can listen to em, n I don't listen to that music, that says they could've been more mainstream with right push. But they didn't grease the right crooked palms I guess? Lol. They didn't sell out I assume

The great Skip Battin on bass. What an immensely talented individual.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
I can't remember from another video about when I saw your comment. Cause I had to hear what people were saying
      I had to laugh
That's not talent kid i'm sorry that's just not
That's about as basic of basic as you can get
And I know you're gonna go to my channel. It's new when and fortunately a small girl took out my stuff all of it.
The recorder foot paddles Active e q
But then again I remember that most comical thing in my history in career. I'm playing just before idiot o d
Any news country based guitar player without? He was the best guitar player in the whole two state area
No, come to give Kim credit work. Credit's given the guy had the national country. Voice any playing a box guitar? Pretty well for country it was what you would expect
Same thing for support of the base player who. Was about to find out that he bragged way too soon. Especially when he was given chance. Just hear me play but stuck nose up
Did you knock on my door when day's savings moving across the street? You don't mind if make a little noise. Do you have any house for me party
I told him I did not mind if he didn't mind if I made a little noise myself.
You got to listen to me polite 43 straight hours
Now, this is just before we sign with medal blade records. Frank turkiye five eighty milligram methodoles and keeled over dead
I played both of our albums in completion
Threw in a little bit of extra cover tunes just to irritate the situation
Mudvayne dig Couple of slipknot tunes
Some face warning Metal church merciless onslaught
Is it a road a big fatty and setback and watch it all begin
After a minute or 2 of them start and clean up and everybody was you know, just kind of going throwing away. I hear it.
Hey, joey I thought you said you were the best bass player in both south carolina and georgia
Can you pride with yeah so what about it
And all he said was well don't sound like it now now does it
Because when you're chasing a guitar player who's fingers moves so fast that you can't see them. It's like watching lightning strike
A huge screaming note for note
You tend to play exactly like you're guitar player
There's no talent in country music

Spencer Dryden on drums, Buddy Cage on steel, Skip Battin on bass, David Nelson and Marmaduke! I saw this lineup with the Dead around this time, but I think Dave Torbert was still on bass at the time, and Garcia played steel.

I always liked that song in their live sets, especially in 73 and 74. LA Cowboy is another one of their unsung heroes in their set around that time. I saw them in NYC at the Academy of Music on East 14th Street a few times, at college concerts a few times, in a huge Central Park concert. I recall Susan Collins singing back up that day and on studio recordings from that time. I knew her from the old neighborhood in Brooklyn.

John Dawson is the real talent in this band, no doubt. Where is he now in ‘24 ? Amazing Skip Battin went from the Byrds or was it the airplane along with Spencer the drummer from airplane to riders.. Makes sense to me… gliding on the astro plane ! Going where no music has gone before !

For the first St. Louis Fox show anyway, this was the lineup second time around except Battin.
