When a person still hold on to power, its normal to receive standing ovulation, praises, good words from bootlickers.
Once the person lost his power, these same group of people will throw bricks n stone at you.
    Thats human reality !!!

Singapore is an interesting place because its not a liberal democracy, but it has democratic attributes and the right to freedom of speech. I need to learn more to fully understand the big differences to a standard liberal democracy but I dont care what your country's administration structures are if your people live well and have e a voice, I am so on board with it. I dont really care about democracy if the right legislation is in place and a benevolent leadership culture might even be able to passed down from generation to generation and engrained in national identity of equality. Democracy is flawed. A better system will come one day🤔I hope.

PAP ministers are the highest paid politicians in the world, earning millions of dollars a year. In 2011, the ministers were paid an incredible 24-month bonus! Because of this, they live in a completely different world from the average citizen and don’t understand our difficulties and worries.

Don't bluff. "Based on the approved formula, the 2011 National Bonus is 2.625 months (see
calculations below), but since the new salaries took effect on 21 May 2011, the pro-
rated amount will be 1.618 months, to be paid in March 2012." As per Press Release.
