Janna was always my favorite champion to play and I'm really happy to see those changes. I missed the old bully Janna times and seeing that rework makes me want to play her more now 😊
they need to buff her W range, its too risky to walk up and use W if enemy saves their engage

I've been waiting for this video since the rework! Personally, I love playing her with Aery + Scorch as Comet feels really bad nowadays, and for the second branch I take domination with eyeball collection and relentless hunter. As for the build, I love to play her AP like the famous Chinese Janna player and I go for Crown (mythic passive gives MS) or Everfrost into Mandate and Mejai's with either Lucidity or Swifties.

I only locked in Janna as a counter pick into engage & she always felt like she had some seriously bad matchups into anything else so I hope they give Janna more flexibility to be played aggressively in the early laning phase.
I’m still probably gonna go glacial & use her as a counter pick

I actually did a mathematical thing to my discord server about janna and her changes,
one note I will add before I drop this, is I did not account for the 35% full passive, as I ended up calculating 30% but still, the number would not make a difference as with how shit janna is, and how theyre removing the skill expresion out of the champ.

my statistical analysis on how riot made janna - a now worse version of lulu: see very bottom for TLDR/conclusion
this will include a slur of random info to coincide why riot trying to make janna a shield bot, is statistcally worse then lulu, and how adding 5 magic damage an auto,
is a total nutjob by the riot design team.
To start, I'll get the numbers out of the way.
So janna's new passive damage scaling is: 20/25/30/35% bonus magic damage added to her auto/W scaling off her (BONUS MS)
They 90% surely coded this from this formula as stated in how ms is calculated in league:
(Base MS + Flat MS bonuses) × (1 + Sum of all Additive Percent MS bonuses)
aka specifically, the "sum of all additive percent ms bonuses"
so in order to find this,
we must separate how much actual bonus ms janna gets from her W, and IF we still take the celerity rune.
base ms: 325
w scaling: 6/7/8/9/10 (+2% per 100 ap)
celerity: 1% + 7% addition to all bonus ms
so in base at lvl 1 w:
(we must do the calculation in order of riot coding)
325 + (7%+(1+6%+1%))
[1.5 is the 7% of 22.75]
325 +(1.5+22.75) = 325 + 24.25 = 24
hence, 20% of 24 = 4.8
a added bonus magic damage of 5 at lvl 1.
You know how much lulu pix does lvl 1?
9, at lvl 1, scaling better at 15%
and this is the nerfed version.
You know what else she can do with pix?
give it to someone that can actually make use of the on-hit effect with their atk spd with like persay.. idk.. a ranged ad carry that all like attack speed.
lets scale it up a bit,
Lets say janna is finally lvl 9 and maxed W like a special needs person instead of E.
she has her full boots.
boots in riot coding also count as bonus ms
so,
325 + 45+ (7%+((1+10%+1%)+45)
325+ 5.7225 + 81.75
325 + 87.4725
= 412
30% (yes she wouldnt have full 30% at lvl 9, just for fun it) of 81.75
=24.525
wow 25 extra magic damage riot
poggers!

You know how much extra mgc damag max level passive lulu gives? ..
four times the ammount.
Dont forget the scaling.
im not counting that extra bs (2+per100 ap) crap in her W.
lulu gets an automatic 15% which scales infinitesimally better as supports don't get alot of stats inherently.

You know what lulu's E cd is?
8 at lvl 1.
Janna at max level E is 12.
and the new passive gives you 20% per knock up/slow cast.
So you W, Q, and you finally match her 8 at level 1. with a shield that does.. 5 more shield.
You also lost your bonus shield and heal. So you better have hoped to hit that Q. Or lose out on 3seconds of shield cd.
Now that you've also lost your bonus shield and heal, your Ult is absolutely shit compared to any other enchanters heal, considering soraka's is an instant, Lulu's is a full on "become bruiser" and yours
a) can be cancelled
b) takes 3 seconds to give the full heal, which is 100 a second at level 1. so 300 heal, after 3 seconds of hopefully fully abused R
vs
lulu R instant knockup 275 bonus hp.. also gives an ongoing slow btw.

in conclusion
riot has rightfully put janna in the dirt, and does not deserve the place she was thrown into, removed the entire base skill of the champion, and turned her into a WORSE lulu.
congratulations.
you have a slightly faster moving champ that scales worse then lulu, and is out-enchanted by lulu early-mid-late.
unless you can justify the extra bonus ad the shield might give while it lasts is good for the champ it gets thrown on, the arguement is utterly lost.

I second this. She's now back to being worse Lulu again, and still loses the poke war, and will still be forced to roam given she is forced to max W.
The tornado speed was her only saving grace that still makes her useful, and the Glacial build. She's literally one of the worse supports on her lane bully days pre-2020.
Most people may not find her fun on her Max E + Glacial era, but that's literally her original design as your disengage champ all along since S1.
Is Relentless Hunter good? Im not sure because of ms doesnt work in combat. I think Ingenious Hunter is better for domination rune page. Lower cooldown more redemption/mikaels/shurelya.
What do you think about in combat ms
relentless hunter is less about combat and more for just being able to move around the map faster. I actually really like ingenious hunter if im going locket/redemption/guardian build. If you do go ingenious make sure to take zombie ward because it works on the cd of ur sweeper.

Idk, old glacial is maybe better statswise, but the lack of mana witout manaflow is meh, even with it u can have issues before 1-2 items, so idk.. maybe if u have a autonomous adc or autofill or whatever u can go aery and some hyper carry win cond maybe go glacial resolve, not sure tho, anyway next patch prolly go aery every game anyway

"zephyr passive mvoespeed is no longer removed" i wonder if it was a bug, but the days after the rework, the movement speed was actually down, even the icon disappeared
maybe your movespeed was lowered if you had relentless hunter rune on the domination page, relentless hunter movespeed is removed during combat
If you playing with Relentless Hunter, the bonus ms doesnt work in combat.

actually i have been runnig comet with mandate first and w full max on janna and has been doing really well with it and i think if you can utilize this playstyle well shes really strong ( master elo )
Janna in WildRift are very weak cuz you cant control ur shield and tornado. I wish i can play again at Pc and main her again.
