As mentioned before, very great picking technique. It sometimes even seemed like the video and audio weren't in sync, but when I checked the fretting hand it was always in time. Mesmerizing to say the least.

What's that thing called on the strings of the guitar? And why is it there?

It is called fretwrap and it's supposed to reduce noise from the strings you're not playing and just make everything cleaner! I wanted to try it but to be honest I didn't really feel there was a huge difference so I stoped using it 😄
