To be fair their backstory is literally the entire Epic NPC Man series, but yeah, girls backstories are looking really epic
I prefer the backstory of the guys… its more humble and low key fantasy rather than fantasticle being over fantasticle being but everyone has his preferences
Rowan did point out when they were quarreling about their characters that they had no choice of the matter.
Where Bob Could have chosen a healer. But what did he chose? A rouge.
I'd wager it's the who's done a lot more jerking than the sorcerer
I love how Rob is interconnecting the world together, which makes the world-building as a viewer so good. I love me some Epic NPC Man lore.

Rhi is so awesome. I love how into the role she gets, her character is hilarious and that accidental spell cast was just amazing
My favorite part of the opening is her “Ha-hah!!” as they slow-walk forward. Makes me smile every week. 😄

All the girls are really great. I love how Britt immediately picked up on Rob's question about what they're thinking.
I love Rhi, but I don't like Horatio. I don't know if that's entirely unintentional, though, considering all bards are generally annoying to an extent 😂(if you've ever played with one, I dare you to defy this hypothesis😂)

Funniest line for this episode. I get the impression Geller is exceptionally off putting even for Darkwood standards.
Good to see Rob got to use the Bonecaller subplot that he would have typically just had to throw out when the guys campaign totally ignored that plothook.
One thing, though - which species is he now? In the BATD campaign, Bonecaller is a High Elf of House Sylwyn. Here, he seems to be human.
The differences between the two tables is so apparent:
Rob divulges important information at the boys table = Alan, Ben and Rowan just nod.
Rob divulges important information at the girls table = Diligent note taking all around.
Geller is so creepy that even the bad guy is like “Geller, get the hell out of my house…” 😆
Large, broad guy, who's moving very fast and not wearing armor, who also has pale skin? Someone check on Bodger's brother...

This is getting so good. Giving the ladies their own table was definitely the right decision, and the whole vibe is different from the guys. Less about action more about story and characters.
Horatio gets plenty of action 😀
The vibes are different I think because the boys are making up new lore on the spot, and demand rob follow it.
The boys also move really really slowly, because there's a comedy retract every minute or two, for a 30s segment

The storytelling in these episodes really makes things pop.
I feel that the background is so much deeper for these characters than in the other D&D.
Not to take away from the guys - theirs is fun, but this has more heart.
Fun and some darker bits - awesome work!
The guys were working with pre established characters that were not designed for a DND world, so it makes sense that it would be harder to mesh
Funny thing is I have found these characters a lot shallower than the guys so far. Probably due to the fact we have had barely any time to flesh them out and so there just is not as much material to work with to now.
Not to take away from the girls but we just haven’t had a chance to get to know them.
Maybe, but personally I attribute this mainly to Robert who, due to the more attentive and mature nature of the girls, can finally direct storytelling more in the way he envisioned. I mean, even the NPC's feel on the higher end of the background depth spectrum from what we've seen so far.
However, as nice as it is not having Rowan getting lost mid dialogue, it's this chaos thats the other campaign's whole appeal. From there we get iconic sequences such as "Yarris Goldhorn confronts 5 morons" or "I told you you were locked in here with us" and much, much more. I'm sure this group will have such moments of its own soon, but they'll be of a different kind.
Strangely, I feel that I know more about them in the D&D realm than the guys, but from a D&D perspective.
The guys had their own world but it did feel like they were not quite the same as in the NPC world.
That's just me, and that's why I truly enjoy hearing other people's perspectives - it makes me rethink stuff I thought I thought!
If I wanted depth, I'd be watching Critical Role. I'm here for the Lake-mountain-beach-cabins, Pologizing, undead uncles, horse facts, etc

19:43: Actually, Bubblé might ACTUALLY have heard all the stories of Bonecaller as a warning from friends and family as she left to explore the surface orld!
Alternatively, since everything is so new to her, she probably asks a lot more questions than a regular land dweller. So if someone mentioned Bonecaller in passing, she would be more likely to ask more follow up questions.
Maybe only because Ellie did socials for the guys and so actually saw all the episodes of BatD.

I watch each campaign for the men and women for two different reasons. The guys are great for being chaotic and not taking things too seriously. The ladies are more focused on the prize and character building. Both are really fun. Honestly, the ladies are more like the D&D groups I played with in the past.

This feels like a therapy session for all of the Misfits
The vibe at first gave me flashbacks to how thoroughly things messed up when the dudes were invading Skabatha's tree house. But interestingly, this time the house owner is not directly hostile to the intruders/player characters, and the fight might be avoided. I wonder how the story will go.
By the way, with the vampires' chain of command, does that mean a vampire practically has control over all the spawns of his/her spawns?

Man, because this is all happening in the same world, I think the final battle with Laethil or Kelothac would be a mega table episode where all of the adventurers are like just there and it would be amazing! Can’t wait for that but at the same time, I wouldn’t want this series to end. I mean it can theoretically go for eternity anyway. But yeah, super excited now that we have 2 things going in 1 world ❤❤❤

The backstories are so cool! I know the girls didn't have the issue to stick to preexisting characters on the contrary of the guys, but damn, what they did is amazing!

- Looooving the tie-in with the boys story! Makes for a great full bodied story in one go. I knew it was already happening, but this one brought it into a timeline I could follow: yay!

- And biggest one of all: Noooo, Gellerrrrr ... don't run awayyyyy! I truly hoped for more of his creepy-ness to outshine any conversation into itself (if that makes sense 😆)
Phoenix/Sneaki almost crying ... I FELT it! I wanted to grab her and put her in my pocket for safekeeping. Everyone has their own story, off course, but hers, in this moment, sounded so desperate, and she became so fragile ... With Arrow I know the story made her more bad-ass, she is realy leaning into it, finding creepy stuff cute and so on, but Sneaki made herself bad-ass through her loss. This episode is amazing! A lot moer fleshed out it feels like. Thanks Misfits!

Wait, wait, Baradun defeated Bonecaller? But, but the skit "Grossed out by your own job" shows it was Greg the Garlic Farmer with the Adventurer...did Baradun use Disguise Self as Greg? 😳
He just took credit, while flipping Greg off.
The other campaign explains that Baradun defeated Bonecaller with adventurers, and as far as I know Greg has never said anything in the other campaign otherwise. Bodger was involved in the attacks on the orcs, and his grandfather was killed, which led to the hammer, of course, rightfully belonging to Bodger. It could never belong to his brother. The other campaign is more canon.

This story is getting really in depth. All the small spurts of character back stories... so good.
Instead of gambling, they should have offered something really valuable - some sweet, sweet undead uncle or misfit merchandise. And to sweeten the deal: alone time with Horatio.

I love how invested she is. First she creatively tries to butter up/flatter the guy without even talking to him and when she recounts her characters backstory she gets emotional. Very good player all around.
Follow up on Robs stream about Vampires. Say Arrow was invited into bubbles bottle (lvl 10 I know). Could she be carried inside someones house? Is she then imprisoned in there, untill they leave again? Or would the bottle have to be left outside, with her in it?

When Drakel suggests they play a game for information, the Misfits should excuse themselves to discuss. When out of sight, Buble can cast "Luck", with any other casters casting additional supportive spells - dexterity or strength enhancers, telepathy, etc. At least that would improve their odds.
I'm all for the empowerment of females but Horatio is truly a a man's man. Keep being badasses all you amazing women. DnD is all about being whatever you want
