Would it smell like burnt wire if it went out my 08 caravan the inside lights wouldn't turn off and gate on dash with not being able to open gate

What is the diagnosis for a bad module?

I replace the liftgate motor because the gate would would open or close. Now i don't have power going and the fuse is good to the lift gate motor. Any idea what it could be?

Probably the fuse box itself, or TIPM as its referred to. They have problems with them corroding internally. If you dont have power to the fuse id say thats your problem.

Why did you replace the module? I am trying to figure out why this liftgate won’t close electrically but will manually.

In our case, there was an issue with the incoming power into the power liftgate module. But that was just our case of course 👍

Any luck figuring it out? I am in the same boat. I can open/ close the liftgate every way except with the rear button when trying to close
