I think the reason why Horikoshi didn't ship anyone, is because he'll probably receive hate messages from his (toxic) fans.

What's worse is when the author waters down his ending to better appease them. The author should have just committed to the pairings he'd foreshadowed and built rapport for, instead of seeking an option that would appease no one. I also don't like how Deku was treated after losing his quirk.

in regards to the quirk singularity, i think the chapter hinted at it being a problem. The kids were saying that it was harder than ever to become a hero, and essentially implied that the baseline strength requirements of a hero had increased. And this is despite the number of crimes decreasing. So this would imply that the crimes that are still going on are happening by villains with quirks that are stronger than before
@@zubhanwc3 no it just means there’s too much peace and heroes have almost nothing to do because of it. Only the strongest heroes are making it because there is no need for 30 heroes to rescue a cat from a tree or stop a minor robbery.

i mean he is a strategist, even before becoming a hero, if all might can fight with or without a quirk, then so can deku, and i think that was the lesson, the decision to have deku becoming quirkless to having a quirk to now being quirkless again not only makes the most, but i think it help an even stronger foundation through modern heroism, the power doesn't make the man, its the man that makes the power, that absolutely was the case here with this series, i mean look at mirio, even when he lost his quirk at the hands of Shin Nemoto, he still kept fighting and hold out Overhaul until Deku and rescue team arrive, imagine what deku can do in the future with his analytic skills.

To be honest bro this show is absolutely phenomenal, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I honestly do think there is more to be discussed and shown. I really do hope they make a sequel and not some spin off.
I think the quirk singularity theory was introduced to let the readers/viewers know that there won't be a next gen of one for all since Deku was already at the limit, raising the stakes to defeat all for one since it's their last shot at it. I don't think it was ever the intention to solve this issue that may or may not occur in the future. And they probably couldn't stop it anyway unless they got rid of quirks in general and all heroes had to use gadgets instead. There was of course Shigaraki who you could say beat the singularity but turning everyone into Nomu wouldn't work as a solution.
Who knows, maybe the doctor had some research that formed the solution. Like maybe the mother gets injected with something or needs to consume something that limits the power of the baby so it doesn't die and it also doesn't kill its mother because the baby's quirk is too crazy.
PS I feel like they have to make a movie with that new suit of Deku and everyone grown up as a send off.

I'm genuinely surprised they didn't use or include Eri in the final part, where she could have possibly reconstructed one for all by reversed the damage to the quirk by touching the "ember" that deku held. Kind of sad that the whole quirk is just done with now. Would have been cool if Deku was the hero who could pass the most broken quirk to other quirkless youngsters.
Understand this:
Rewind reverts things back to their previous state progressively. But that thing that needs rewound must exist for that to happen. As explicitly stated in the manga, Midoriya transferred One For All into Shigaraki to get to his spirit, destroying the quirk and rendering it an "Unformed Dud."
There no longer is a quirk factor for Eri to rewind. She isn't some magical reverse all bad things unicorn.
Even if Midoriya kept One For All he'd likely have to live with it and die with it, since by his generation the population of quirkless people is less than 20%. So the number of candidates is already super slim and will only decrease with time. Not to mention One For All was extremely weak when Shinomori had it, and it killed him after 18 years from the strain. I doubt someone with a quirk could get One For All from Deku and last long at all. Maybe a year or so at best.
Plus since Eri broke her horn, the source of her quirk to repair Midoriya's arms, it's likely her quirk factor was damaged or destroyed, so she likely can't use rewind in any meaningful way anymore.
@@Ember2168 Eri grew back her horn years later so I can't say that her Rewind quirk was destroyed. You're right about the ways of her quirk for restoring One For All back also. But rewinding One For All os not a bad idea but also impossible to happened since Eri needs a lot of power to do that since its different than the time when she restore Mirio's quirk.

A true hero is one who helps without any expectation of thanks because it's simply the right thing to do. That's why Izuku is such a great protagonist to me.
Keep in mind Horikoshi had to keep the ending mild for obvious reason. That’s why he stopped after having Deku proclaim that Ochako has always been HIS Hero which directly coincides with her thoughts of “when a hero is in trouble who is going to save them.” Honestly just minor details that you need to put together if you simply read the story without any delusions.
Also I’m sure the last thing he wanted was to get more death threats from weebs not happy they didn’t get their gay ending that never existed.

Ahhhh, what a journey it has been.
The mangas' story may have lost momentum after the war arc, but even then, it was a good ride.
The story isn't perfect bit damn was an enjoyable part of my life since I first watched the anime ALLLLL the way back in January of 2017 to getting completely absorbed into the manga not long after.
Since then, it has been a near weekly staple for almost 8 years of my life.
I look forward to what horikoshi does next, though I do hope he takes a long, well-deserved rest before jumping into whatever idea he has next. Whether that's a small spin-off series showing us the future lives of my hero academias' cast or a completely new story.
Whatever he's got planned for the future, I'll be here the whole way. Though I do hope it's a few more bonus chapters of MHA with another time skip showing us more of the main casts lives. Like Narutos' Gaiden chapters.
Well said! I got into it around the same time and I've been hooked ever since. It's a great story and it's been really important to me through some crazy times. I feel like it ended beautifully and I'm excited to see whatever Horikoshi does next...after a much needed break lol

It was not bad. I do think we might get an extended chapter later like some other manga or some sort of after story later on. The main manga is over tho for sure. But we might get more closure later on. Even though it's not really required.
The ending is ambiguous and there are five plothole it lefy unanswered:
1. The origin of quirk
2. The danger of quirk singularity that dr. Garaki warned us about.
3. The where about of Dr. Garaki since he eacapes during the final arc.
4. The villain whom shirigaki shove star and stripes quirk.
5. Where the hell is deku dad

In regards to 4, he wasn't able to put Stars and Stripes into the guy.
Right when he was about to, he felt it burn out.
Later, the vestige of her was shown to still be insiade him, guiding the OFA users vestiges, meaningnhe never transferred it.
Its power burnt out and died with Shigaraki.

this is going to be great with new villains and the children of former Class-A band together with their overpowered quirks probably be composed from the quirk singularity while beating up villains and saving a lot of folks from the dangers of new threats.

Most people forget that what makes Midoriya a hero isn't his quirk, but his will and actions to save others. Like the previous OFA users said, quirks are a tool and should be used recklessly.

I guess I am the only one who didn't like Quirkless Deku being Ironman all of a sudden. I would have liked it if that was the direction the story had taken from the start, with Deku being a Hero with his gadgets and/or suit. But going from being Superman/Avatar to a glorified Ironman coz he has a genius friend Hatsume felt cheap and needlessly taking a dump on him.
Also, we never saw him win against Bakugo, never saw his dad and dude became Frodo and went back to being a nobody before an asspull Ironman suit at the very last second. Also, there is no reason Eri's quirk could not have been used to bring his body to a state where he still had the quirk. His suit could have had Eri's quirk bullet/canisters that let him use OFA for like X hours/day. The mad doctor actually was able to use one of the bullets to replicate Eri's quirk to the point that AFO got a full reset, but apparently, no one could do it for Deku.

It’s one thing to pour money into making the suit. It’s another to keep funding it to keep it maintained while it gets used, damaged and just general wear and tear
all migth said he wants to collect data from him so deku would be like a guinea to test out the suit and make it better so i think he is good if not well he still has his teaching job
7:07 Maybe someday we get a movie or Ova about quirk evolutions. though the closest was that the young teen with mutant power as his parents abandoned for not having a comforming quirk.
Bakugo being the main person funding the suit being built seems like he also doesn't find it fair competing for the #1 hero spot, when his main competition has to sit on the sidelines.

I really enjoyed season 2 because of that, he knows that he's not yet mastered ofa, so he make use of it another way, or how he fight slime villain that attacked bakugo with bag. Ofa gone, now he is using the support item suit, but i'm sure he can make use of it effectively

OK, but the thing is their relationship was kind of dropped half the story ago…. I wouldn’t say that was the toxic fans I would say Horikoshi lost interest it just felt like a natural progression for them not to get together. They’re romantic development ended aeons ago.

There relationship didn't drop just focused more on the war. Uraraka told toga she loves him during there fight . In moment for the war midoriya wanted to express his thanks to her , gave her compliments and talked about there mutual problem with toga and shigaraki.
In the chapter before the final chapter midoriya was looking for her because he felt something was so he went to the place they last talked alone .midoriya comforted her , expressing himself to her about her being his hero and encouraged her to be the hero she wants to be.

It's just kind of unsatisfying he didn't get to be a beefcake like prime All Might even just half body mass. I know his build was based on speed but still, couldn't they have at least make him look more adult.

Just my opinion but to me..
This anime had so much potential and it was wasted away. Lot of quirks , spent more than 99.99% of the anime of Deku breaking his body cause he can’t use the quirks, good characters just died off, characters that should have died long ago somehow still survived and so much more.
This is less than adequate of an anime. It makes me sick realizing all the potential it had but instead it seemed super rushed and bad choices to tell this story.

There are a few crossover fanfictions in which Deku becomes the MHA Iron-Man. Now, Deku is wearing power armor. Proves Heroes are not born, they are Built!

I 100% agree. The best examples of romance in a battle shonen are Mission: Yozakura Family and Twin Star Exorcists. The reason why is that the couple gets paired up early into the series and it develops throughout the entirety of the manga. Ended up giving it's readerbase a cute and well-written relationships. Twin Star Exorcists even has the balls to give us a special scene between the main male and female characters.

The mask design is different then dekus. It actually looks more like Lida’s mask. Also deku said himself that he gets a little lonely sometimes which quite literally tells us that he’s not dating anyone right now. So any ships people believe are still end game is completely up to individual opinion/interpretation.
The only difference between Ochaco's mask and midoriya's mask is Ochaco's is smaller
Tenya's mask is a part of his helmet and it is big in the front
Some of Ochaco's gear is inspired by midoriya and because of that I do think the mask is also

Tbh I don't think Deku ever wanted to be number one. That was Bakugo's goal and even then Bakugo isn't even number one but Mirio is. Plus a lot of people in the fanbase pretty much predicted he would lose OFA in the end and it happened. Dude just wanted to be a hero simple as that.
I love how everyone is desperately grasping at staws in order to not acknowledge that Deku got screwed over BIG TIME and the ending was poorly done.

And the excuse was, it was hard getting their schedules lined up? And people try to blame the fans for all the half-assed plot resolutions and lack of relationships; how about you blame the author for not growing a set of balls and failing to deliver a good ending.😮💨

Not a fan of this ending. Feels rushed and honestly just like... idk. Just doesn't sit right with me. I hate that he's quirkless once again. Ya ya ya he's got this suit big deal. Just takes a strong enough enemy to shatter it and then he's next to useless. Would have been cool if when fighting the big boss when their hands collided he passed some quirk or something to Midoriya or something. Idk just not the ending for me. Normally I accept whatever ending comes from anything anime, video games, etc. But this just not right to me. And that's okay. Doesn't need to be the ending for everyone.

I agree with you 100%. It's just my opinion, but Horikoshi did not stick the landing. If we got base OFA and a weaker AFO combination for Midoriya would've been ideal, but the theme of heroism is the story not the power of OFA v AFO
