I like listening to this rabbi. Friedman takes every topic and has to talk about the meaning of the universe and why things are before he gets to the point and to tovia makes it a effort to tie the new testament into every topic and bash it. Daniel 9:24-27 clearly identifies who he is and when he would arrive and it was precisely accurate. It is the very reason why 40 years before the second temple's destruction in 70 AD there were signs noting the sacrifices were rejected.

Is it necessary to compel obedience to torah because it is written? Or can can obedience be compelled because of a new understanding of human nature? I don't think the whole world is going to obey a list of ancient rules because someone says so. But they may obey undeniable principles of reason that imply those rules. In this case they are no longer obeying the torah, but they are fulfilling the torah, doing the same thing for different reasons.This may be what is meant by written on the heart.

So you're asking a lot of human .. all of these things that you're saying he must complete before he is the king is kind of unfair he hasn't been living poor situations in the last eight 10 years because of what people have done to him to make sure that he lives in poverty.. you know I don't think the Messiah wants to take the job after hearing all of the things that he has to do he is not a scholar of the Torah yet...
All the Mashiach has to do is Stand In Front Of A Mountain That Opens. Then he Enters with at Least Zero Others whom he feels possess Holiness. The thing of it is, he has to be the suffering servant, he is paying the price. a lifetime of suffering, going to death many, many times. All the things that make him great are hidden from him. I really don't think a Messiah would be connected just to the Jewish religion because the Messiah wouldn't actually know any religion ie he? wouldn't be one sided, he? wouldn't even know he is one sided. Enlightenment is a state of being and is its own entity and has no religion attached to it. Some Christians and Muslims will accept a Jewish Messiah when they realise that the Jews were right and they were wrong. When the Messiah comes it will be obvious, there will be very clear signs, it won't require believe/faith, it will be obvious to everyone. And the must ONLY learn and accept something as absolute truth from the creator. NEVER from man. Man can inspire, support, encourage, challenge, etc etc. but NEVER instruct.
The only valid source of information is the creator. Through the creator you have the gift of creation, it is everywhere you look.
It's just that we are blinded by our senses to be able to actually see an understanding within our mind. And again, the irrefutable instructions of man, confining natures existence to within an individuals own perceptual conception. One that is different to anyone elses and through the further contamination of truth through our limited capacity to verbally articulate meaning for a concept. The listener may remember and recall the words which were used. But unless they come to the finish line on thier own understanding, the listener hasn't learnt anything of value.
