Their bond is stronger than a lover or brothers. Wu Xie would always look for Xiao Ge first and you can see how happy and secured he is when Xiao Ge is around. The same for Xiao Ge, he goes to Wu Xie first every time and would always check if he is okay. The girl was right. Xiao Ge would not care about anyone else except Wu Xie. I love how the actors portrayed the innocent intimacy with Wu Xie and Xiao Ge characters. Their eyes and gestures says it all.
This story is an epic example of how to be intimate with another person without any malice. Just pure concern and love for each other. The writer of these novels is a genius.
I just found out about this series last week and the characters and story already left a deep impression in my heart. Not to mention the actor who played Wu Xie is so effortlessly adorable/gorgeous and the actor who played Xiao Ge is so damn mysteriously handsome.
It almost gives a vibe like The Untamed.. They never said that they love each other, neither ever kissed nor hugged etc.. But they still gave such a vibe, they are litteraly perfect together..

My only reason so far why I follow this Tomb Series: Wu Xie, Xiao Ge bromance. One of the best bromance u can find in a drama. I hope they have some kind of closure with this one. No more cliff hangers!

You can watch only this one if you want to. However, if you want to know how this epic story started, at least watch the very first drama, “ The Lost Tomb”(VIKI) and a movie, “Time Raiders”(CZcams). It will explain their backgrounds. Mind you though, they use different casts every time. Nonetheless, they’re all charming and chemistry is awesome. Enjoy!
This series will probably still have a cliffhanger, since I’m pretty sure at least one more season of this series is planned.

Also when Wuxie is hurt by the snake, it is one of the few times we actually see Xiaoge scared and in pain watching his dear friend hurting like that. I really loved this season of the lost tomb series. They showed so much development in the two boys' relationship. I really hope that they get to do a second season of Ultimate Note! This cast grouping has so much chemistry. They did such a nice job casting the actors for Ultimate Note. Especially Zheng Didi and Liang ge. I loved them as Wuxie and Xiaoge!!!!
@Mint Lee It was when they went down into the rainforest area. I think it was like episode 5 or somewhere around there. And actually he didn't get bitten. Fatty Wang landed on some eggs or something and then he wiped some of what was inside on Wuxie and like a fungus started growing.

I find them attractive. In my opinion, these two are better looking than a couple or a few of the other actors. They are also really likeable as these characters...🥰👍
Cheng Yi for example, is probably the least or 2nd least acting like/feel/aura, as Zhang Qiling/Xiao Ge, and one of the least attractive actors in the series (from what episodes I have seen, to me).

While waiting for this Ultimate Note being update I highly recommend another beautiful drama full of suspense - Physc Hunter. I'm still watching the series and can't stop after the first episode.
