They are not singing about women, they sing to women❤
Omg yes!👌
Your reactions to the Bee Gees are so wonderful and I really appreciate that you research the artists before listening. That's what makes your reactions so good, is because you know the facts beforehand and you can then ask better questions from an informed point of view. Thanks for covering this amazing trio because they are in our hearts forever.
Complexly agree with you & always love his reactions!🎶
Yes I agree¡
Bee Gees are masters of harmonies. And there are no autotunes. They can sing.
Thank you for your reaction.
Greetings from Germany.
Its pretty amazing.been singing together their whole lives.true brothers to follow the others
The most beautiful love song ever. ❤. Try “Nights on Broadway”, “Fanny Be Tender”, “More Than a Woman”, “Run to Me”, “Jive Talkin’”
all great choices
two thumbs up!
Spirits Having Flown❤️👍
They did the absolute BEST harmonies ever in music history. After decades and decades of non-stop hits they're still underrated by so many snobs who only think about rock, hip-hop, etc... The BEE GEES were everything!
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young aren't slouches, lol. They also could harmonize like they were brothers.
As someone commented below, "they are God's gift to the world". For 50+ years, their songwriting in many genres, performances and exquisite harmonies were, and still are, music lovers' idea of heaven. Great reaction...
They wrote about six tracks for the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack (some for other artists as well as their own). Everyone had a copy of this album in their collection but the BeeGees were so much more than a 1970s 'disco' band. Their early stuff is worth a listen too!
Have you ever heard their really early song " Spicks and Specks", if not suggest you try it, the twins were just children.
Oh, yes! The earlier stuff with Robin as the lead singer is just as good as this, but with subtle differences. Robin stepped aside as lead when Barry wanted to take them to a more Pop sound. Some may deride disco, but "It had a good beat & you could dance to it".
Spicks & Specks is great & most of their earliest stuff was written by Barry!🎶
Two of the most beautiful songs ever recorded were the BeeGees with Words and Massachusetts. You will find them hauntingly melancholy. Rarely covered by reactors which is a huge shame as they are masterpieces in my humble opinion. 👍🇬🇧
This song is so lovely , sweet and charming. Barry sung it in his charming chest voice smoothly.I listen everyday 😊❤
Sir Barry Gibb and his brothers were just inducted into the Australian songwriters hall of fame!!!! Australia’s first round of inductees!!!! They have written over 1000 songs not only for themselves and their brother Andy (who also co-wrote with them) but for other well known artists!
THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!! They can’t be topped!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
British people can go in that?
@@samueljames17They grew up in Australia.
Yes,the BeeGees were definitely a one off. Never another group comes close wirh harmonies and songwriting. Magnificent.
Anyone else get goosebumps as soon as the chorus started? A true masterpiece! Have you checked out their track “Nights on Broadway” yet?
Forgot about that one!! So good!!
@@bluelionvintage8134that's the big one, where Barry discovered his falsetto, that changed everything.
One of my very favorites!
One of my favorite love songs. So very tender, very soothing. It will give me goosebumps until the day I die. I just love it.
I agree, but I think Words is amazing as well.
@@aletmartins6940 absolutely
Listen to "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" (Massachusetts; From whom the bell tolls, I started a joke, Nights on Broadway, ...) and you can also appreciate Robin beautiful voice.
The incomparable BeeGees. God’s gift to the world.
This isn’t just one of my favorite Bee Gees songs, it’s one of my favorite songs of all time. Absolutely beautiful! Another great one is Words. When my son was about five, he loved Words. The first time he heard it he cried. So shocking to have a five yr old to be touched so much from a song! Another favorite is Fanny Be Tender With My Love. What an epic song. Such a difficult song to sing that it wasn’t one they did live. Must listen to the video. Even with the video it’s hard to tell who is singing what. Amazing song.
I love your reactions to the Bee Gees. Watching you fall in love with the Bee Gees is absolutely priceless!
Bee Gees are Legendary their catalogue is Epic go back to their beginning with "To love Somebody" in 67 live its short but sweet
It was perfect.❤
Ain't it majestic?
I'm not a huge disco fan ... but "You Should Be Dancing" is quite something. The groove and the arrangement are intoxicating. It never fails to move my soul and no matter where I am I need to dance. You might know it already, but I'd recommend listening to the song on its own, then watching the video of John Travolta's dance routine in the film. Insane.
They were the absolute best. ❤ You will love the journey. So many great songs. Rings Around The Moon, One, Alone, For Whom The Bell Tolls, To Love Somebody, oh too many to list.
Their brotherly harmony is No1❤❤❤ champion
It's amazing to see you completely mesmerized by their astonishing harmonies and I can also see you feel already catched with three songs, let me tell you that they wrote more than 1.000 for themselves and for others, always with different styles and with very good results. I would recommend 'Fanny be tender' next, you will surely enjoy it.
YES...Fanny Be Tender song!!
The harmony is just off the charts. This track is an absolute treasure. Wow!
You need to check out their 60's songs.
I was excited when I got this alert! Bee Gees are simply amazing! So glad you did this song… Enjoyed it very much… totally understand (and glad) there were no pauses… too beautiful to stop! 😀💕
The trio, foursome or more some, nobody can sing as strong as the Brothers Gibb! Great reaction.
This was the start of the Bee Gees' 2 year rule over the Top Ten that included songs written for Frankie Valli, Andy Gibb, Samantha Sang, Yvonne Elliman, and of course their own 6 consecutive #1's
My suggestion? You need to listen to their entire discography. Seriously, there are too many songs to recommend just a few. It's not only the songs they recorded themselves, either. They wrote so many songs for other artists that you are probably familiar with. They sang backing vocals on a lot of those tracks. It's ridiculous not only how prolific they were, but how bloody good they were at writing.
Harmony heaven!! 😍 Take a deep dive into their 5+ decade catalog, you won't be sorry!! ❤
Oh my goodness♥️ I enjoyed this!! Thank you for your reaction!! can’t go wrong with The Bee Gees🎼♥️👏🏻🤩
Even their 'la la la la's" are exquisite. Our high school band played this in 1978 during halftime on the field. The whole place would sing. Enjoyed!
I loved your reaction to this song! Your face showed such joy! I am old enough to remember this song on the radio when I was 9 years old but to this day it gives me the same joy in listening to it that you had. Thank you for reacting to it and sharing it with me again! 😊
There’s a reason these guys sold 220 million records.
Family members know how to really harmonize. They've been doing it all their lives together
Bee Gees music is my soulful friend forever.❤❤😊
How Deep Is Your Love is such a dreamy, pretty ballad. The soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever is so awesome! I can still see the scene in my head when I hear this song...or part of the scene they show - Tony (a really young John Travolta) riding sadly and aimlessly in the subway all night long...and then again at the end of the film - maybe at some point you can react to the rest of the songs off of that soundtrack.
Jive talking, Fanny be tender, More Than A Woman....all bangers...plus so much more...Their music just makes you feel good.
Thank you for not pausing!!! People miss all the nuances and build ups to songs. Your reactions are so genuine and I love to see the younger generation enjoying these amazing songs. The Bee Gees are one of the best trios ever! Their harmonizing is untouched! Love this channel! Keep up the good vibes my friend.. 😊
This is one of those songs that DEFINITELY deserves to be called "a timeless classic"
They were born on the Isle of Man where I live. There is a great sculpture of the trio on the Promenade by the beach in Douglas!
Is the Isle of Man in England or Australia?
This is the soundtrack of my high school years. I can't tell you how many times I danced to this as a teenager. It was ubiquitous. The entire album was played over and over everywhere you went for about a year. Their popularity can't be overstated. Now, if you want to discuss songs that were ignored at Oscar season, none of their songs from the movie were nominated for an Academy Award that year.
Just wanted to say that your reactions are leaps and bounds better than most others on YT. The info session at the beginning is awesome and your commentary is intelligent. Keep up the great work man!
I love watching you discover the magic if the Gibbs brothers. If you think the harmonies are gorgeous on this one you should really give Fanny Be Tender next. Also Barry gets a lot of attention (quite right too) but do nit neglect to give I Started A Joke (any live version) a listen. Robin Gibbs had the most vulnerable and beautiful voice! It huts me in the feels every time
Yes I also vote for Fanny be Tender, the harmonies are out of this world
@@impudentdomain Anything before the disco era would be great, but Fanny is exceptional. For Whom The Bell Tolls, You Win Again, Nights On Broadway, I Started A Joke, To Love Somebody. There are so many other than just Barry singing lead falsetto and Mo and Robin on backup.
All of their music is heaven sent. "Alone" was a hit for them later- after disco died- but this song "Alone" will make you tear up it's so beautiful.
I also suggested "Alone"! It shows how BeeGees adjust to the time period and can still make good songs after the Disco era.
There a lot of good songs and melodies. You can't go wrong with the Bee Gees. Others songs are: Love you inside and out, More than a woman, tragedy and so many more.
I think you may just be "captivated" by them. They have that effect on people
Now this is music, melody - arrangements, voices, passion... Compared to what is on the radio these days - this is a halleluja moment!! 😍
If you want to go to their pre-disco days two songs are How do you Mend a Broken Heart, and Words.
I am 50 years old and I love seeing you appreciate these older songs and artists. There is nothing like discovering them for the first time, but relishing other people’s introduction is pretty great, too!!!
This was the love song of my parents, my aunts and my uncles. When I was a child, I wondered how could they all have the same love song? As I grew older, I realized how beautiful and mesmerizing this song is. Listening to it feels like being lifted to love heaven with sugary, sweet clouds of fluff embracing you. It’s no wonder that many couples from the 70s-80s use this song to remind them of their love. And it gets better and sweeter the more you listen to it. I could play this on loop the whole day!
How can you mend a broken heart, To love somebody, Words, Massachusetts,
Quite possibly the most exquisitely beautiful pop song ever recorded.
Barry has said this is prob his favorite!🎶
Yes, the amazing harmonies the brothers Gibb create can make you feel like you're floating and awash with Heavenly sounds - and you should check out their brother Andy's songs too.
what can one say- It is the Bee Gees- 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I am awed by their talent and happy you are reacting to their work. They are top songwriters and producers, too. Next up should definitely be their other timeless classic hits on the same album, including NIGHT FEVER, More Than A Woman, If I Can’t Have You. YOU SHOULD BE DANCING and JIVE TALKIN!!!
Yes. The Bee Gees were so talented. Their rabbit hole is deep - both in individual vocals and collectively . Fanny Be Tender With My Love I d agree would be another one you d really enjoy.
Previously, songs were the art of words, music, and voices. Now it's just a product
Affinity is the word you're looking for (as opposed to connection).
"Love You Inside Out" is a another great one from Bee Gees
Another song you could listen to by them is Emotion or More Than a Woman two more masterpieces by the kings that I know you’ll love.
He's already did Samantha Sang's version of Emotion.🎼
The Brothers Gibb. The Bee Gees. Be still my heart. ❤️
Watching you experience The Bee Gees NEVER GETS OLD… your look just says everything ❤
I love your reactions. ❤. Their voices are wonderful to destress to. You would love 1 Living Eyes, 2 Love you inside and out, 3 Paying the Pice of love, 4 I could not love you more and 5 Wedding Day for a few if their great songs. ❤❤
Love this era when harmonies carried the melody. (Chicago, CSN&Y and so many others) But these guys' catchy tunes had everyone singing and humming their music. Honey to the ears.
So true!🎼
Those harmonies are so tight its like one person singing
well they were singing together since the twins could first talk
I was lucky enough to see Andy Gibb in Concert ( 3rd row center 😉) when I was in the 4 th grade . I was 9. I begged my parents to take my best friend and I. The year was 1977. We stood on our seats and screamed . I am 55 years old and remember it like it was yesterday. 🌠🤍💕
Cute !
Sublime vocals - nothing else to say.
From the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, you might enjoy Yvonne Elliman singing "If I Can't Have You", which was written by the Gibb brothers. And the Bee Gees themselves singing "You Should Be Dancing" gives sort of the opposite effect of the dreamy, soothing "How Deep Is Your Love".
I can’t help wishing I was hearing them,for the first time…❤
It's always a joy to watch you react to music, Salvo. Your sincerity and sense of awe/wonder gets me every time. As others have said, you'd be hard pressed to find a so-so Bee Gees song, but considering the selections you've enjoyed so far, and the fact that you're really taken by their amazing harmonies, I'd like to suggest "Fanny (Be Tender WIth My Love)". It's not always mentioned, but the second half is truly majestic. And for a taste of rather early Bee Gees--with a great R&B ballad feel--you can't go wrong with "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" ('71).
You're a romantic Salvo...but the song helped, didn'it ? ❤
Now that you've done two ballads in "Too Much Heaven" and "How Deep Is Your Love" and the disco classic "Stayin' Alive", your next must be its upbeat companion piece "Night Fever".
Many nights dancing to this on a dimly lit dance floor with the mirrored ball slowly throwing off little flashes of light all around. Great times.
Thanks for playing my boys. I don't think I've ever heard a song I did not like, and I mean like a lot. My mom's favorite group. The music played in my house all the time. Along with ABBA . I was quite lucky, although I didn't know it back then thank you for the research and looking into the facts about the group that's what I liked about your channel. And thanks for not interrupting.
Their harmonies are always exquisite.
Did you know that Robin & Maurice were twins?! You should really do their song “Jive Talkin” You would love it, I promise you!!!
Fanny be Tender is a can't miss BeeGees tune I know you'll love
"FANNY BE TENDER WITH MY LOVE" and "LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT"!!! GREAT HARMONIES ON THESE TRACKS !!!!
Just you wait! You have hundreds and hundreds of fabulous Bee Gees songs to listen to and greatly enjoy.
Once you really get into The Bee Gees you fall down a rabbit hole and their music gets into your soul
A couple of my top faves are " Run To Me"... "I Could Not Love You More" .... "New York Mining Disaster"... " I Gotta Get A Message To You"...."To Love Sombody"... I could go on forever the list is so long ❤
Beautiful reaction! Your appreciation for The Bee Gees so deserving!
SalvoG, you need to hop down the BeeGees rabbit hole. You will like most everything they perform. Our next reaction should be The Only Love, Wedding Day, will You Still Love Me Tomorrow or Fanny Be Tender with My Heart. Some of the most beautiful and romantic songs ever.
NIGHTS ON BROADWAY or LONELY DAYS, LONELY NIGHTS are a MUST for the FLIP SIDE (non-disco era) of the BeeGee's!! Both are Pure FIRE! 😀
OMG! Your Reaction to this song was Priceless and the smile on your face is infectious! Love it!!
You definitely need to go back to the pre 1973 Bee Gees. There singles, “I started a joke”, “how can you mend a broken heart”, I’ve gotta get a message to you, Massachusetts, New York Mining Disaster 1941, and To love somebody are all just pure Gold!!!!
My favorite is pre-Saturday Night Fever = Lonely Days! On SNF my favorite is "you should be dancing" YAY!
Enjoyed this, my100th or so listen to a classic romantic ballad. Story goes that the Bee Gees Manager Robert Stigwood asked the brothers to write the best romantic ballad they've ever written. He wanted a #1 song to hit the radio ahead of the movie SNL 's release. Boy, they sure delivered, and had other #1s with Staying Alive, Night Fever, You Should Be Dancing, Jive Talkin' as, well as , If I Can't Have You. Another Bee Gees song More Than a Woman also made the SNL album.
This album dropped the year I was born, and 46 years later, it is still perfection. ❤ The Bees Gees are absolutely iconic. One of the best love song ever written. Your reactions are just everything for me. Recently found your channel and am loving your content!
The Bee Gees are the best. You should do Tragedy. You’d like it
Please react to the Bee Gee's little brother Andy singing "Shadow Dancing". He had a great solo career...
These were beautiful men, God gifted, who gave a lot to people worldwide. I believe they were born to create beautiful music via their instruments, voices and lyrics as gifts to mankind so that we may experience love, peace, calmness while we walk day by day in this world for a brief time, a blink of the eye. I know Barry is still with us but his brothers (and let's not forget Andy), are all in Heaven playing music for our Lord for all eternity. I have no doubt. How glorious is that? I thank God for them. For many decades, they gave us their lives in song for us to feel good and get us through yet another day.
it's so hard to listen to these songs without a smile on your face, it's such a satisfying vibe compared to music today that sounds chaotic, the 1960s-70s is just peaceful
Nights on Broadway and Tragedy are bangers
Absolutely!
the main course album. Is great, the album for me between two of their style changes…nights on broadway, wind of change, songburd, come on over, edge of universe but my favorite is fanny be tender , velvet rich smooth, its awesome
Imagine in the 70's , with this song in disco club .Everybody on stage and dance .Like Saterday night fever
Oh, I can't even count the amount of times I slow danced to this song iat elementary and middle school dances. Sigh. Such nice memories. Thank you for reacting to this beautiful song.
BeeGees were the soundtrack to my young adult years. As you found out, their harmonies are mesmerizing. I really enjoy your reaction videos and the research you do into both the song and the artist.
It's awesome that you like them so much.
React to "You should be dancing" , "Nights of Broadway ", "More than a Woman"... they have so many songs ❤
