The Mayor would not betray the girl like this. It is rumoured every time a game is made from Nintendo, the characters are implanted with a virtual version of the neural CIC chip which overrides their normal personas and makes them do things out of character like, "You pirated this game". In real life, it's program code, but in my version, the virtual CIC neural chips detect pirate behavior. But there is a way to deactivate them, though is different from rewriting code to override the anti-piracy checks (don't tell Nintendo!). In this series of events, have the girl knock out (but not kill the mayor) and while he's asleep, remove the chip from his brain, he will resume his normal persona (but make sure the mayor is alone first).

Dude Thomas is such a creepy character, he's the final boss of Harvest Moon DS: when you kill him with your dog (in the boy version) the credits play as if you won the game

I always knew Mayor Thomas was evil; he bullies you & gets attacked by your dog, & he doesn't even flinch if you poison the town with a Level 100 toadstool.
The last bit about poisoning is pretty spot on considering i always poisoned the town during the festival lol. It was fun.
POV: you’re a child and saved up your allowance to buy Harvest Moon for your Nintendo DS. You buy it from eBay. You take it home, excitedly, only to witness this. You cry to your mom telling her you’re a criminal who killed May. That it’s your fault. She is confused.

I like how you did the dialogue, it has the same almost right but kind of off translation feel to it as the regular game
So imagine as a child you bought yourself a copy of Harvest Moon DS "Cute" from a sketchy game shop and ran home excitedly to play this wonderful cute farming game but instead farming you get kidnapped, deserted, and buried alive while dying of starvation.

These were the original creators of harvest moon before it was taking over but these guys are coming back with another harvest moon game soon. Love this game, they always have small interactions which can have a lasting effect.

Thomas is a creepy character honnestly, in the boy version, you can kill him by letting your dog attacking him, and in the girl version, he probably is the Harvest King... So words like that isn't unexpectable from him!

I do think this one is unnecessarily evil and the creator should make it clearer that this is fanmade, but i think anti-piracy jokes should focus more on the game trolling the pirate, like the mayor saying that all your cropa now sell for 1g, or the harvest King setting your crops tl grow on 40 days or something.
