BRICS Youth Energy Summit wraps up I Young people reflect on the impact of the summit

The BRICS Youth Energy Summit has reflected on the youth's vision for energy cooperation, energy access, and security in BRICS and Africa.
The summit just concluded in Sandton with about 19 countries represented.
Addressing the delegates on behalf of SA's Minister of Mineral Resources & Energy, Gwede Mantashe, DG Mr Jacob Mbele emphasized the priorities and vision for South Africa's BRICS Presidency in the field of energy, particularly leading efforts on ensuring energy access and security in all of Africa and empowering youth as the next generation of energy leaders. Several young people who attended the summit in Johannesburg, South Africa from across the globe have expressed interest in more participation and access to the BRICS energy projects. Absolutely fantastic event! It's incredibly inspiring to see the youth of the BRICS nations coming together to discuss and drive forward such vital issues in the energy sector. It would be great if the conversations were taken to rural areas also, explore energy generation in those places using what is naturally available in the environment. This would lead to reduced pressure on the national grid and skills development in local communities. This way we can have more impact. Take the conversation to the people. I am willing to participate in finding practical solutions.

Lets hope that local and foreign R&D investment discussions were emphasized as well. The biggest problem we are facing so far . P.S: Speaking as the CTO of an Innovation Hub backed Alternative energy startup in Vanderbijlpark experiencing a slowdown in Pre-commercialization development due to a lack of willing venture capital in this country (impacted also by the geopolitical stance of this country). The government has funds that on the surface are presented as though they're supposed to fill this void, yet they have so much inherent red tape that there are obstacles to more than 90% of SA startups in our position (based on communications that ive been part of in our network).
