Thank you for this! I am a senior in college and I have always wanted to do the dcp, now im thinking its better that I have waited. It looks like I would be in the same boat as you and been very lonely.
I couldn’t finish your video. I really felt bad for you. My granddaughter is there now. She never really made friends easy either. My granddaughter is loving it and has a roommate that she absolutely loves. I wish you could have had a better experience. Im just so happy she has been loving it.

This is helpful I don’t think I should take the offer. Thank you. I went to Iowa state for a year and hated the walking around part too, not having a car is hell… very useful, authentic, real, and helpful and you are so nice I’m sorry u didn’t make friends but you have a beautiful soul don’t worry

I have not experienced the DCP. But a lot of what is described matches my (not Disney) college experience. Roomates I didn't get along with? Check. Disordered eating? Check. No car? I didn't have a car for all four years, and freshmen and sophmores weren't even allowed to have cars. Sucky job? I had to work in the college cafeteria in order to pay for school, and I had to lug a lot of heavy things and I worked unpaid overtime quite a lot. I just hope people who are thinking about the DCP, understand that it is still *college*, and you will have a lot of the same experiences if you went to a four year school.
I mean yes and no, the jobs at Disney can actually be kind of fun and tons of people love their roommates and make a lot of friends, it’s just a chance thing. As someone who did the DCP, it is actually really different

I had to quit the DCP almost a month in because of my horrible social anxiety, and my roommate always argued with me everytime I came out of my room, so I didnt even feel safe coming home. I feel so guilty for leaving and I wanted to stick it out and go back since I love disney so much, but I feel like my mental health wouldve gotten worse. Im so disappointed in myself for leaving though.

Girl I live so close to Disney and never go cause I have no one to go with. Tbh I feel like we would’ve gotten along great cause I feel like we’re both nerdy. I would’ve loved to be you park buddy while you were here, but your reasons for leaving the program are valid! Now I’m really considering if I want to join the program next year or not 😮💨
It’s definitely a tough decision, I’m sure you would have a great time if your willing to put in some hard work haha
But also the fact that you live so close means that you could have ur car and stuff and maybe still live at home, and that would be so nice

@Lalabooey 16$ an hour and u get payed weekly and they automatically take rent out of your pay

I took one class and it was really fun!! At end we got like free cotton candy and a meet and greet with characters
