Blizzard came out and said they are going to revert mongoose bite and flanking strike in a blue post, so this info is out dated.
For now, we plan to return Mongoose Bite and Mongoose Fury to their previous iterations. We’ll spend time finding a more elegant way to meld the two rotational styles that simultaneously preserves their gameplay.

play unholy and get free dmg from frost plague, im assuming its bugged atm but the frost change effected the capstone for unholy, my frost plague did over 100m overall last night lmao
Ok I have another idea for Mongoose Bite and Flanking strike
Allow mongoose bite to refresh its 10sec mongoose fury stack (maxing at 5 stacks). Have both Franking Strike and Fury of the Eagle be on a 45sec shared cooldown. Make flanking strike and fury of the eagle consume the mongoose fury stacks dealing increased damage per stack.
This will incentivize weaving mongoose bite in your rotation and spending the stacks on a hard hitting flanking strike (single target) or fury of the eagle (aoe), whatever the situation calls for.

What if every 4th KC turning to flanking strike mechanic were to instead became a chakram throw? It could work exactly like glaive toss or be a singular glaive throw. I think that would be a cool idea since some players miss glaive toss/death chakrams. Also this would solve the FORCED player relocation issue that comes with the flanking strike mechanic.

Personally, I think Explo shot should be survival only and remove wildfire bombs completely. Buff the hell outta butchery and give it big bleed dmg. I dont understand what the purpose of Flanking Strike is other than just getting focus, but that makes it feel like the balance could be forced around, "well you have flanking strike for more focus". The overall dmg of flanking strike has to be extremely low in any encounter. I get that its a gap closer also, but maybe it could replace harpoon? I also feel like they could do something better with Raptor Strike and Mongoose Bite. Those have been in the game since forever. It would be nice to see an interaction with them somehow other than MB replaces RS as a talent. Whatever they do, I feel like moving away from Wildfire Bombs will allow the spec to grow and have way more of an identity. Explo trap and shot are fine, but constantly throwing tiny bombs as a ranger archetype is weird. You are a tracker/trapper and I feel like bombs isnt really the way to go. Its just my opinion anyone can feel free to disagree, but this is just my opinion as someone who has played hunter consistently since 2006. A lot of ppl are very sensitive to discussion nowadays, so I have to add its just to have open talks and swapping ideas.

Can’t believe they expect me to run mists another 1000 times for IO. these old dungeons are not something I want out of a new expansion. I’ll be pvping until they do away with fated, so probably indefinite. I’m not grinding 3k IO for dungeons I already did that for, even if m+ is one of my favorite parts of the game.
