- EU4 1.34 brings a whole host of new modifiers. Today we look at vipuri with EU4 1.34 Finland which RAISES the attrition cap for the first time! This is basically an exploit when you stack attrition and fort defence that makes this province IMPOSSIBLE to siege! As Finland you can hold off the entire world, basically. No one is able to siege your provinces, and it's BEAUTIFUL!

increasing garrison size actually means the enemy needs more divisions to siege the province, aka they take even more attrition
You could get 1 more max attrition from the final Finnish mission, cool idea anyway
Also going jewsih gives 25% defence plus stateless society is a another 75%
And the chinese wall adds a few percent too

You could also get addition +2 to global attrition by maxing The Great Wall of China monument. Beside that The Great Wall of China, Malbork Castle and Can Castle also give global garrison size. So if you want maximize effectiveness of your forts you need those three monuments. :)
If you like stacking attrition then you should definitely try out the Anbennar Fantasy Mod and play as either Bluescale or Redscale Kobolds.
They're basically pincered between not-Russia and Not-France and have a ton of attrition modifiers.
Do take a moment to increase the max attrition in the config files though. Have fun!
I think an extended timeline video where you try to outdo Alp Arslan's conquests would be pretty cool.
Make a custom nation and maximize fort defense, attrition for enemies, max attrition for enemies, and garrison size.

Coptic+stateless society gives +95 fort defense if you take monuments in great wall, tectonic one and one in Hungary you can max garrison size , plus if you have fort on mountain- highland- hill it + 2 attrition and -20 siege ability and if prov has salt then it's +20 fort defense.
From the man who notoriously used to delete all his forts, there appear to have been shift this past month or so to actually keeping, even building, and using forts. Nice to see a shake-up, good sir.

If you really wanna maximize this, you wanna go Jewish (25% fort defence) and Stateless society which gives another 75% defence
11:42 to be fair, Finland would have pretty good crop yields and national security there is insane, want to get in early else you get conscripted and thrown to starve to death on a Finnish fort.
Also if you think about it, wtf is attrition for enemies modifier? Like realistically, what are you doing? intentionally having cholera in the water supply? Doesn't hugely make sense.
I'm new eu4, I need to some one say me how I'm play after 1821 in ironman. After 1821 that screen comes and only choice is quit. Pls help :(

Isn’t there a max attrition cap of 5%?
They changed something in latest update, + im pretty sure finland have something like +1% of max atrition from mission. So it is not 5% max anymore.
Defensive and Finland now has +1% max attrition and Viborg(Viipuri) gets an additional +3 max attrition aslong as it is not captured from missions as of the last uppdate.
