What was the point of smuggling cookies why couldn't the guy just give it to the detective?
The moving aspect seems like a cop out to put less stuff inside the house, however I think the way they did the paint/painter was kind of cute.

One of the more unique Modulars for many reasons. I hadn't really seen this one in detail and now I'm very impressed with the exterior. The very unusual choice of interior detail makes it even more interesting.
About ten years ago I started to use LEGO. The thing is I AM TEN. I want to say thank you four for years of fun. It's not that I'm not watching you anymore, it's just that I have been wanting to say this for a really long time(4 years). Thanks to you I really want to be a LEGO designer and get more of the LEGO sets. All themes. Thanks to you I don't ever want to give up on LEGO. All I wanted to say was thank you.

I appreciate that this is a nice build from the outside but it's really bare on the inside and I wish there was more to it
One of my favorite ideas for Modular Builds. Definitely would love to see this idea or two separate buildings incorporated into more. I know the Detective's Office came really close but had to incorporate the play feature. Having these multiple buildings in one set I feel really gives us a lot of different opportunities for our city block setups.
I fully furnished this set with a kitchen and bedroom and it turned out nice
I like that they actually gave you room to add your own stuff in the red home.
I'd say that this is probably my favourite of the modular sets. I love the tiny details in this series, like the painter in the upstairs flat! I wish I had even one of these awesome sets!

I've got this set and I've just thought of a way to solve the furnishing problem, transfer the furniture from the apartment above the petshop into the town house, chimney as well I know it'd take some minor part subbing in but it'd be worth it to have a fully furnished proper townhouse
I added a bathroom on the third floor of the blue apartment and furnished both apartments
Great review as always JANG! I was lucky enough to find this set at a local brick store. It was very fun to build and has some great architectural details. A very good addition to my collection.

I furnished the house by adding some things from the Big Bang theory set

The lorax like, shelves, wall decorations? the sets get the point across on the inside and are beautiful outside
Haha I did the same thing. I ordered the Big Band Set and this set together. Haven't got them in the mail yet but I can't wait to decorate the room from scratch!
I just ordered it from amazon, last one is stock, and I'm getting it Wednesday. Might install a shower, but certainly will install a kitchen, as well as a sink.
This is my first Modular and I love it so much, I highly recommend getting it, even if you only have one modular it looks really good on display and is really fun to play with.
The first floor in the second building is really nice, especially since it includes the crawlspace

did anyone else notice the misconceptions between the box art and the actual set?
The fence pieces on the box and the instructions were the ones with 4 studs on them; however, the ones included in the set only had 2 studs on top. Also, there were a couple flowers on the edge of the balcony on the box art, but flowers were not there in the instructions! I don't mind it, but I thought I would point it out.
Also, no sink? Why?
I just got the set and I have the reverse, the box art and instructions have 2 studs but what I got in the box has 4, even the parts list shows the 'FENCE 1X4X2 W. 2 KNOBS' even though I got the 'FENCE 1X4X2 W. 4 KNOBS'

The paint roller deal is perfectly brilliant!
This was the first building set that I put together, followed by the Parisian Restaurant and Detective Agency, and the Pet Shop just doesn't have the level of detail as the others did. It's like especially with the apartment unit, Lego left it unfinished by simply putting in the guy painting and some blocks as moving boxes. (YAWN)
I have since moved in the recent Valentine Day couple and have ordered some bricks to add a kitchen, etc. The unit above the Pet Store also needs work. I have also hired the zoo keeper and her monkey to manage the Pet Store.
My favourite modular building set of the lego creator expert line is the green grocer set from 2008
It is amazing and still holds up by to days standards and it is very detailed and I really love the coulors

Clinton H the only downside is that it is so big. The size seems out of proportion compaired to the latest modular sets. But I agree, as a set on its own, it is one of the best.

I just bought this set online for a good price so im looking forward to build it.
the buildings also kinda remind of a house you would see in Amsterdam.

I just got this set a few weeks ago and decided that I should add furniture to the home in progress. it would make a little more real.

This Would Be Great To Have In My Lego City Because I Lived In England For 2 Months, and Then In France For Three, And i really like the set because of hoe it brings back that bit of Europe that has lived inside of me after those five months, and a bit of New England charm, this is my favorite modular building, and i would recommend this to any lego fan in need of a large building for his or her city.

I have 4 modular sets, the Palace, the Pet shop, the Detectives office, and the Resterant, I have a brother and we all have 2, and he has the pet shop and I think that it is really cool
Not sure why, and I'm kinda surprised by it myself, but It hink this might be my fave of the whole modular line. O-o
Still working my way thru reviews, so maybe that'll change, but this is super well done.

I/6th of the set is pet shop, 1/8th if you count the 2 back alleys as area

+AFMakers Great starting ones are the Pet Shop and the Detective's Office , but personally it's anyone's choice and the way they'd like to start. I started out with the Palace Cinema myself and it's a great set! But it's your choice man :)

One question how did you make the picture part of the pet shop how do you make him connect to one pet shop and I don't want one apartments I noticed you been making new belts and you do good job
recently I got this set and I thought the residence house looks so incredible from the outside and I wanted to use the house for making some stop frame movies. by the time I was finished I was gutted to see that the interior was basically empty. I tryed to re design it but it failed. could you do a video on re designing the interior of the house?
