It’s going to be a place full of rundown antique architecture and empty shops in five years, they don’t care about Missouri business owners.

This is a group of Kansas residents who want to lower the value of the Missouri side of Kansas City, to make the Kansas side look more valuable than what it is.

Missouri has twice the population Kansas does, yet Kansas takes all West Missouri’s money through tax incentives to Missouri’s business owners.
It’s been this way for the last 30 years

All of the profit and wealth generated from the plaza from now on will go to the shareholders of the company that owns it, not the businesses in the plaza itself.

I think it will get better now on The Plaza since new permanent owners are now in place and are actively managing here in KCMO...
The long ownership transaction process contributed to the recent issues on The Plaza...

They will raise rent on the business owners so high that no local businesses will thrive.

@@RealTalkMyG over my 65 years of life I have seen this happen to three different cities, Boulder Colorado, Austin Texas, and Memphis Tennessee, when the huge corporations roll in and start buying up all the main icons of the city, they raise the rent and all the local businesses leave.

@@RealTalkMyG because shareholders have always been interested in making sure small business owners are making money right?
Lol, they are going to raise the rent so high that no one can afford to be there except huge corporations…watch.

@@FoundaPeanut The plaza is an upscale shopping district....this is not Brookside or Midtown. If you watched the proposal one of the main focus is on small business or local Kansas City businesses.

@@FoundaPeanut Huge corporations are not going to flood into the plaza. It will be residential living, infrastructure improvements including brush Creek and retail.
