"They don't provide lock washers ... at least they provide Loctite." FYI, it's been long realized most lock washers don't do squat -- thread locking compound is definitely the better choice.

Yeah it's a good idea to silicone those holes. They all tend to leak at one point or another from the factory on the Rav4s defective roof rail washers anyway

Instead of silicone could you use Flex Seal Spray? Do you think it would work?

Really unfortunate Prinsu decided to use standard nuts and bolts instead of sticking with the Toyota metric measurement ones. One of those little details that make me not want this kit

Prinsu website says that this racks does not work for the Rav4 with sunroof. Looks like it worked great with yours. Do you know what the reason was that prinsu claims why it does not work with sun roof?

How can you able to re use factory nut(5/16) when the bolt that came from Prinsu is (1/4)?
That's what I'm sayinnn. My bolts got super tight without any nut on the other side anyways though, did it just catch in the brass piece?

Did PRINSU change things? I’ve seen other install videos that call for every hole to use a plusnut. Yours only calls for the rear two.

I have a 2024 RAV4 Adventure with the power moonroof, was about to order a Prinsu rack but the website says not compatible with a moonroof. The model in your video has the moonroof, were there any special modifications you had to make and is the moonroof still fully functional?

@@atuercke hallo, meinen hatte ich april 2021 bestellt gehabt und mein im nachhinein unfreundlicher toyota händler hatte im vorwege mich gewarnt gehabt das ich es wahrscheinlich 2022 erhalten werde. Nach 8 wochen konnte ich meinen abholen und es hat geklappert von der heckklappe, hinter der verkleidung rechts im kofferraum, b- säule fahrerseite, mittelkonsole, amaturenträger und panoramadach. Einige mängel konnten sie beheben aber panodach, mittelkonsole und amaturenträger klapperten immer wieder. Ich habe einen anwalt einschalten müssen und habe es nach 13monaten zurückgegeben. Meiner war vollausgestattet für rund 65.000€. Aktuell kann man auch im toyota rav4 forum, ich glaube unter dem rubrik " was mir nicht gefällt" über divrrse verarbeitungsmängel lesen. Alles Gute.
@@atuercke ich muss noch erwähnen das mir während der fahrt die innenverkleidung vom a- säule fahrerseite ins gesicht gegallen ist, warum macht toyota jetzt sowas? Ich würde mir den wiederbestellen aber ich habe angst wegen den verarbeitungsmängel und hoffe das vlt mitsubishi den 2023 er outländer auch in Deutschland verkauft. Zu meiner person, ich fahre seit 1998 nur toyota hatte aber auch in den 1980 ern meine ersten guten erfahrungen sammeln könne, nichts ist unmöglich, jetzt bin ich skeptisch mit dieser marke. Alles gute.

It is not a large suv, but it is perfect for my family. We go tent camping and a roof rack is perfect for packing items up top.
