He already is. Orr played during a time that is about modern day high school level in Minnesota
@@Noticerofthings it doesn't matter what era you played in. It's about how much better you were compared the peers you played against. Makar won't touch that type of status, Rasmus Dahlin looks like he's gonna be right there too from what we're seeing this year.
No guarantee he actually does but Cale is definitely capable of winning a scoring title or two even in today's game, which is even more impressive

We don’t know who the best ever will be. Talks like that are so opinionated it’s insane. No one can say a player is the best ever and have it be a fact. It’s all opinionated. I think we can all agree though that he’ll go down as one of the best dmen ever. But that’s all I’ll say.

This is so disrespectful to Orr. McKinnon should know better. He doesn’t even know much about Orr. He doesn’t even know what his best season is? If he did he wouldn’t be saying what he is saying. Everyone saying he is the next Orr have egg on their face now. Makar while good isn’t even at a point a game pace. Karlisson is having a Bobby Orr like season, without the defense. I think Makar is still the best defensemen in the league now, but Orr might be the best player ever. Period. Is Makar the best player ever? Ask yourself that. Because if you are stating he os better than Orr, you are also saying he may be the best player. It’s ridiculous.
If he doesn’t pick it up he isn’t going to see the Norris this year. Orr changed the way the game was played. He revolutionized the defensive position. Forever. These comments are so, so stupid.

Nah Cale earned his reputation with his tremendous success so far. Matthews, McDavid, Draisaitl, Josi, Fox, Gaudreau, Tkachuks, Q. Hughes, Kane, Malkin, Doughty, Seth Jones, Burns, Karlsson, Duchene, and several others are the actually overrated ones
