I ref at a field local to me. We play a battle royal game sometimes and they seem to go great. However the most players we’ve ever done it with is around 50 we do teams of 3-4 and spawn them in different areas of the field and then start the game. Every player starts with 400 dollars (prop money) and the objective is to get the most money. If someone kills you they can loot you but only take 100 dollars at a time. The 400 dollars also represents your lives you have once you run out of money you walk to a ref because you have no lives yet. However any team can buy you back for 400 dollars and if you’re bought back you get 100 dollars. It’s confusing but if the players listen to the briefing it usually goes amazing.

About the Warzone thing. It kinda has already been done. Mr Beast had a CZcamsr (and some streamers) battle royal like 1-2 years ago that was sponsored by apex legends, as well as Lancer Tactical and Airsoft Megastore (or something like that) for the weapons and ammo. In it, they used balloons for lives where if all three on someone were popped, then that person was out. There were weapons all around the place and they had officials and caution tape to shrink the border/play-zone.
Obviously that’s a lot harder to recreate, but I could definitely see a group of friends doing it on their own or a few airsoft places that used only their rentals and maybe having special events occasionally of battle royals.

Everything online with my price range pointed me towards Krytac. I ended up going with the trident mark 2 SPR. I think that it's possible to have a BR type game, except it's mandatory quad teams and allow people to use their own gear, so it's 25 four person teams with the hit/knocked function. It could be kind of like one of Jet's events with the tourniquet. It could allow a good long game if people are to be trusted. It requires more elaboration than this, but it's a thought.

@Matt, in Germany, Airsoft is so expensive that if you want to buy a rifle, you can just add around 30%-50% (sometimes more, sometimes less) to whatever a gun would cost in the US and then change the currency to euro. Example: MCX virtus. US: around 400 Dollars, Germany, 550 Euro (thats around 660 Dollars). Also you have to drive much further to get to a field, sometimes even leave the country. 2-3 hours to get to a field is somewhat normal in some parts of the country.

Question: Hey NSRT, I’m a huge fan of keeping firing airsoft guns to look as real as possible (ie. blowback and recoil) but some AEGs I’ve seen are recommended using Li-Po and I’m not particularly fond of them due to their unstable nature. So, is it 100% necessary to only use the recommended Li-Po battery in the gun? Thanks in advance, keep up the good work

The main reason between airsoft in the US and EU is also the laws.. you arent allowed to use lasers in most countrys... germany doesnt even allow flashlights or guns that can shoot full auto of they are above 0.5 joule. The US has more fields. You can litterlay play in your garden.. dont even think about that in 99% of EU countries.

I'm in Ireland and touching on the import costs. I was looking at getting a DT4 about a year ago, I believe it around $450 ish (373Euro) for u to buy over there, for me to buy , import taxes and import duty it would cost me close just over 900 euro ($1'084). It expensive for shops here to buy airsoft stuff in, unfortunately the costs get shifted to the customer .... it sucks but it happens. I had to cancel an order with yourselves a while back due to UPS requiring me to have an import license reference even though Irish customs over here told me I didn't one..... another hoop for us to jump through just to buy...

Certain brands have a bad wrap, if I talk to an evike rep about upgrading an EMG falkor they say it can be done but if you go to a comment section or even another airsoft podcast everyone will say the APS gearbox isn’t worth the time and will mess up, you guys don’t run APS guns so is it just that the guns you like aren’t by APS ? Please shed some unbiased light on this if possible ( valley river arms, airsoft gi and custom Canadian shops continue to rant on APS ) do I ditch my falkor for a g&p or E&l so I can look like everyone else ?

But on fridays is the older people days and it’s everything goes grenades mines grenade launchers polar stars etc still 330 max FPS with .2s but damn it’s fantastic on fridays and I believe it goes till 12:00 which I did one night though by the end there was 4 people left including me so we 2v2 3 life skrims in zone 4 of the map and it was actually really fun
I’ve also never had any issues of people not calling hits or getting angry everyone knows each other and it’s just chill and fun
