The place is Tervola Finland. the point is called "vammamaara" which is thousands of years old seashore, at this time that place is about 120meter above sealevel. I live so near that place and visit it many times a year. An absolutely beautiful place when the sun is shining!
There is still a wooden ring at the shooting location where the band members sit in a circle.
Nightwish has a fair share of behind the scenes videos and documentaries. It's great for us who care about the band members, but even if a person doesn't, there is always information about the process, coupled with great music from their vast catalogue.
Some on location problems and movie magic: "Aki Kaurismaki fakes a train station". Here Tuomas shows his acting skills on the Kotiteollisuus' 'Ghost Train' music video: "Kotiteollisuus - Kummitusjuna". The steam train appearing on the video might the same one as on this 1976 war movie: "The Eagle Has Landed (1976) - True German Soldier". The scene was filmed in Rovaniemi, Lapland, where Santa has his office and village: "Christmas: Santa Claus Village Rovaniemi Lapland Finland Arctic Circle home of Father Christmas". The village was build around the Roosevelt Cabin, which was built for Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, when she visited Finland in 1950 to see how the funding for the post-war reconstruction of Lapland was used, and wanted to visit the Arctic Circle: "Rooseveltin maja | Napapiirin ensimmäinen maja". Kotiteollisuus is sometimes called as the Finnish Metallica. Here Tuomas and Kotiteollisuus take a part to the Killing Joke tribute project, to which also Metallica took part: "Kotiteollisuus - Pandemonium". The music video was clearly shot during the Christmas time. The truth is that Santa comes from Finland, but there's more to it: "Short Film Showcase - Rare Exports Inc. (2003) mp4". The short film might actually not have been shot in Lapland, but the director's latest film was, so here's more location problems and movie magic in Lapland: "Sisu Bonus Clip Focuses on Jorma Tommila's Impressive Performance | Behind the scenes |", "Director Jalmari Helander Interview Sisu Premiere TIFF 2022" and "SISU Official Trailer (2023)".
That's how you make magic, a lot of planning and hard work!

You would have loved being there - Up in Northern Finland windy, cold sitting on stones that freezes your ass - yeah definately your place to shoot a film.
In fact - I have never seen this vid either,- found via search bar and though it might interest you. Belivied rocs etc. were cgi or smthing. Guess Tuomas was/is old school grumpy man, lol

I had seen this before, and it was interesting after I had seen the original video.
You may want to watch one of the Virtual Concert videos from 2021, after you watch the original music video..
The virtual concerts were set in a dynamic 3d game world, at a place called the Islanders Arms, with a modernized take on the artistry of this video
You will see the inspiration of the original Islander video and Steam Punk feel of the setting they played in.

Could you do other docs about Nightwish? "Please learn the setlist in 48h" where you learn about how Floor joined the band. What's the point of watching "making of" if you haven't seen the video itself? I don't get it.
So, you don't get tuning up a car, painting it and filming the whole proces and then getting a prize in the car show? Just see the headlines about the winning team?

If not that's ok it's for my favorite symphonic viking metal band from Finland wintersun. I know you react to music also so here are my suggestions. First is wintersun sons of winter and stars 1.5 official lyric video. Next is ensiferum LAI LAI HEI from wiilinker 41 version and it specifically needs to be this version because its better made video and it's also sung in Finnish and English . This is jari of wintersuns former band before he left and formed wintersun. Next after that is wintersun time live rehearsal video at Sonic pump studio in Helsinki Finland.
