    There's no words to express how brilliant your research and information are. I made my first pour yesterday, after studying a lot of your videos and my main issue points (aside from a hair drier that wasn't strong enough) were all to do with paint density, and my white that sank to the bottom, like one of your other videos. I will most definitely be using your chart for every future painting I do, because it's stuff like that which really gives you the cutting edge of the mechanics behind every composition. Looking very much forward to the demo video of the chart, and seeing how to alter paint density to achieve more control! 🔬♥

Now, I know that mixing up paints using pigments (TLP, etc, ), or dry paint systems like Primary Elements are a different "beast", in a way, than tube or craft paint, but where would the TLP or Primary Elements mixed paints fall out on your density spreadsheet ? Thanks again !

    Thank you for this video and for the Acrylic Paint Density chart. You did so much work! I was surprised that even the Dutch brands that I use are in the chart. And looking at the densities answered a question that I had. I now understand why colors sometimes disappear in my paintings. It's because of the light density of my base paint (Talens Art Creation Ivory Black). A very useful video, thank you!

    • @LeftBrainedArtist
      @LeftBrainedArtist  Před měsícem +1

      Glad to help. Just keep in mind that density controls movement of paint BUT cells have the added issue where the quality of the paint, the sheen, and the fillers that the brand uses can increase or decrease cells. That it why amsterdam paint cell way better than other brands. Those other factors AND the density.

      Exactly. You can vary densities with experience but it isn't as easy to do something scientific like this without knowing the pigments.

    Another excellent, educational video. I will refer to your chart frequently, I suspect. It must have taken you hours to compile this chart!

      It was a bit of time but for me having it at my fingertips is totally worth it.

    Thank you so much. I just finally started pouring and could not figure out why I was not getting cells. My paint gets thin on the canvas too despite making sure I have enough and more according to your chart. I must make my paint just a bit too thin. Practice and more practice.

      Doing is the best teacher for sure. I hope my video make the doing even more productive.

    Wow, this is just amazing! It might be a little much for me to apply but it is really helpful! I struggle so much with consistency and your video on that was so helpful! Thanks so much for sharing 👍🏻☺️

    You are too cute. I get such a kick out of you. You "make" me use science instead of my usual right-brained wing-y-ness which wastes a ton of paint. Thank you for breaking down everything for us unscientific types ;-).
