I think my favorite thing about this is that it isn't blazing fast like others. It doesn't have to be fast to be incredible. He definitely proved that here with how amazing he did!
He's not just playing,he has become part of the score that was something to strive for exceptional , thank you . I got my first clarinet at 7 still play 62 years later wonderful performance.
I played this in elementary school concert. 20 years after I still remember everything including how my clarinet felt in my fingers and mouth! Classical music is a truly amazing thing.
What gorgeous sound and amazing trills. Such great lower register resonance. I have known this piece for about 50 years now, and this is a truly inspirational performance.
I won a First in State in 1964 in Waukegan Illinois playing this to a piano accompaniment but I was too young to really appreciate what a great composer Weber was. The orchestra accompaniment here is wonderful to listen to, as is the clarinet playing. An outstanding performance!
This interpretation is gorgeous. I got perfect scores with this in high school competition. Definitely among my favorite pieces to both listen to and perform.
BRAVO. THE VERY FIRST TIME I WAS ABLE TO APRECIATE A A GREAT CLARINET PLAYER WHO WAS ABLE TO PLAY THAT DIFFICULT PIECE SO PERFECT WITH A PERFECTION. THANK YOU
Has anyone else noticed the extraordinarily TALL-looking male viola player sitting over the left shoulder of the soloist? He's a head taller than everyone else while sitting down!
This tune has been a favorite. I always listen to see if the soloist makes the low notes sound like a big horn (they should) and this soloist did an excellent job.
the fact that he is able to play and cue the orchestra at the same time is truly incredible to me. I can only give slight cues to my pianist when I am playing clarinet but to do all the movement he is doing would cause me to mess up! Truly incredible performance!

AMAZING but my only constructive criticism is the beginning doesn't really fade in, it's just a smack to the face. Just constructive criticism but I really enjoyed it.
@@tabbywarrior Very true, I had to play this for my exam last year. And this year I have to play concerto no 1. And next year will probably play concerto no. 2 xD
@@tabbywarrior Well stuff didn't go to plan! I actually played the grand duo concertant, all three parts. And now I'm studying the messager solo de concours. The pieces are getting pretty hard! I'm starting grade 11 in a week.

That tone is so vocal and fills up the hall with its ring quality. Really love it. Reminds me of a great opera singer.

I am going to perform this piece soon in a competition. This is an inspiring performance!
What I like most about this piece is the fact that he doesn't play fast like crazy to play beautifully
This interpretation is gorgeous.

ok but keep calm dude
Great performance of the Weber. What a shame there weren’t more people in the audience.
I come back to this performance REGULARLY to enjoy and practice along to because it is simply the best performance of it that I’ve heard.
Thank you Skins for letting me know about this concerto
Incredible sound and interpretation. Very best of.
Fab.. and deserved a far fuller audience.
Not me watching this over and over again bc it so stunning 🤩 this is truly a masterpiece😌🙌 I hope I can play this good when I grow up
I can’t believe I picked this tune for my solo in high school. It’s such a masterpiece.
Best version playing for this piece!

Yeah, so?
This is a fabulous performance of an extraordinarily beautiful piece.
You're amazing!
Su clarinete es único!!!!! Cada vez. Me gusta mas. Maravilloso Joan Enric.
Com sempre disfrutant d´escoltar-te!

Perfect geweldig mooi en vooral zo rustig gespeeld.
I’m doing a presentation in my symphonic band and out of all the concertinos this is by far my favorite 🥰 it would be amazing to have a lesson
Pedazo de músico, extraordinaria versión
