It's TRUE YG evaluations are toughest in kpop. Their trainee managers, vocalcoaches, dance trainers, choreographers, stage directors, producers, trainees, fitnescoach , stylists,
YG boss, assistant director, CEO, and some more are at monthly evaluations.
If artist debute everyone needs to be graded on every aspect. That's why YG makes one of the best groups.

It's true.... So hard to imitates the blackpink vibes eventhough you can do their dance so powerful or cover their song. The members really have their own aura and style in performance so it's kinda easy to distinguish them.
대형기획사가 괜히 대형일까 ㅋㅋㅋ서로 갈려는 신의 경지지.. 연습량? 그냥 밥먹는 시간도 아끼려고 음료로 대신하는 경우도 많음 잠을 못자니까 아침마다 코피 쏟는 경우도 태반 근데 이런 생활 이전에 갖고 있는게 많은 애들임 그렇게 해야 데뷔 정도는 할수 있는 정도. 데뷔 하고 나서 뜨냐 안뜨냐는 또다른 문제이고 대형에서도 상중하로 또 나뉨. 큰손들이 아껴준 정도의 인물이면 어느 정도 길 트였다 생각하면 되고..근데 어차피 자기 스스로 자력으로 살아남아야 하는 세계라 천차만별임. 대형에서도 중하위권이었음 데뷔도 힘들고 하고 나서도 별거 없다 보면 됨

Thanks for the reaction. I dont think Lisa was desperate to keave her country, she was only 10 years old how could she know certain things... Also, she had a great life in Thailand and many friends, Ive seen vids of her performing as a child, even back then she was popular. She did chase her dream to be a kpop idol tho.
I think there is a discrepancy in the translation (sometimes there is really no direct English translation of Korean words and concepts) but I guess what they’re trying to say is more along the lines of she’d do everything for her dream, like she’d even go to a foreign country not knowing their language just to fulfill her dream.
For holidays Jisoo would take Lisa home with her. On holidays when Lisa stayed in the dorm, Jisoo would come back early so Lisa was not alone the entire weekend.
what i like about YG is they look for talents first...people who are confident in themselves. they can improve your skills by training you first but you got to have that confidence and own identity which is hard to fake and easy to see if someone is faking it.
Lisa also has a dance video posted by yg when she was a trainee. Who's that girl is the name of the video I think.

YGE undoubtedly has THE toughest evaluations and aims.
You gotta be a songwriter, great at rap, dance and vocals.
Preferable added qualities like acting skills which could be trained if chosen as a trainee.
MOST importantly...unlike other companies there's no second chance or hope that you'll stay back as a trainee to debut later.
In YGE either you're the trainee who's gonna debut or you're nobody.

what company are they from
YG artists are soo goood the problem is the company. I don't understand why they don't give them comebacks so often.
YG is different from other kpop company. They spend too much money and effort for the their Artist. YG prefer less work stress and more quality in music. When you see the musicvideo, it's cost to much money for every comeback. Their artist get more salary then elsewhere. I would say they work smart, not hard.
Take example for Chanhyuk from Akmu who waited 8 years to have his solo debut. Study his music where he express himself by solo debut then you will see how and why it takes long for them to release songs.
For a music genius like chanhyuk, song is their freedom of expression for what they felt in a certain time/ places thats why it takes more time to develop a quality songs.

Chanhyuk prioritized first on akmu. He also established books connecting to their comebacks. And he went to military, before he left he gave song to his sister to do a solo while hes enlist but his sister didnt want to do use it as her solo debut, she wants to make her own so that's why in after 2 years, chanhyuk encourage her to do solo debut first. When she release "alien" its also a release of chanhyuk's book explaining about "ailen" thing.
After 8 years, chanhyuk wanted to do a solo debut too for the changes and his journey as a producer. He didn't wait for 8 years because of YG. He waited for 8 years, because he had to experience those journey during his akmu days to make songs and express all of it in his solo debut.
Time is important to a producer. They don't make songs just because of releasing song as expected for fans. They make songs to express their emotion and story of their life. That's the beauty of a music and people shouldn't rush an artist. If they don't want to do a solo, then wait for them. U guya should respect it.

I believe they didn't mean "desperate" in a degrading way. As you know, KPOP idols are trained in a competitive environment where, among hundreds only 10-15 get to debut. They said desperate in the sense that, since she's from a foreign country and didn't know korean and english, she had to study harder in order to communicate with others because before that, she had no way to be able to talk to others. Along with this communication problem, she came in as a dancer so she had to practice harder in singing and rapping than those who have background in those areas. She had to catch up with others and be better than them in those fields in order to debut. I believe every idol enters the entertainment industry and gets to feel the desperation they're talking about at least once in their entire career. They are not gods and godesses. The girls in these videos can probably relate to that feeling
They are not disrespecting her. You should probably learn that not all of the korean language can be translated accurately in english. Learn the language, its connotation before you comment rudely too 🙄

ALL the BP girls were desperate in a sense of debuting, chasing their dream. The weird thing is they have no problems talking about the other 3 members, complimenting their effort and talents without keep saying the word “desperate”, but funny that the word “desperate” kept coming out of their mouth when it was about Lisa. If you know, you know. (Add: anyone other than the person themselves trying to label a person’s journey as “desperation” is not right, especially to foreigners, it’s condescending).
Correction, Lisa knows English but was not allowed to use it to make her learn Korean faster.
