  • Friends, many people are familiar with the Thomistic tradition, following St. Thomas Aquinas, but what about the Franciscan intellectual tradition, following St. Francis? Who are some of the great Franciscan theologians, and what can they teach us today? That’s what Brandon Vogt and I discuss on today’s episode of “The Word on Fire Show.”
A listener asks, does God the Father love us as much as he loves Jesus and the Holy Spirit?

Incarnate & the immaculate conception demonstrate an awesome unfathomable power of relative being which shows on the one hand the power of love in commiseration & love in dynamic totality.

Regarding the relation between Bonaventure and Aquino don't forget that St Francis and St Domingo were sort of committed to each other. I myself as Franciscan have been encouraged to mingle with the Dominicans. Every year they came to our main Church on so do we, once a year we went visiting their main church and have a nice concelebration together. It was rooted in their formation.

Thank u for reminding us of such great minds of the Franciscans. Such unique paths to getting to know God. Must get back to read them. God bless. ♥️🙏

I have been waiting 51 adult years to hear a sermon on this:😅
Leviticus 18:22 has been translated in common English versions as: Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination.
And when you’re an abomination you try to obscure that bit of scripture. What would St Catherine of Siena say?
